Shoe Lovin': Steve Madden green color sole boots
Green sole colored boots have been trending for a couple of seasons now and the first green sole colored boots that broke out in the fashion scene in my opinion is; the luxury Bottega veneta boots. The green pop of color on this boot is very edgy and chic and leads to creation of very fun Fall and Winter outfits when styled. There are more colors now that have been released by the same brand. The steep price of this boots however does not justify the cost per wear for the average fashionista lady.
Green color Outfit: Style Inspiration
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Are you looking for some trendy way to style your greens this weekend? Here is some style inspiration for you. The first outfit which features a knit sweater and cargo pants is a casual style you can wear on a Friday like today. The green sweater is a pop of color in an otherwise neutral outfit. Tweed Blazer + pleated Skirt
Blue and gray has become a favorite color pairing of mine lately. I wore this tweed blazer and pleated skirt to church recently. I paired the outfit with a blue woven pouch bag and cinched my waist with an embellished belt; black clog sole boots completed the look. It was just the right outfit to brighten up a cloudy day. I hope the new year is going great for you so far. Thanks so much for reading.

Styling colored boots: Green
Colored boots are my thing now. After I realized I had a lot of neutrals; brown and black and grey boots in my closet, I decided to add more colors and prints. However, I know colored boots can be a challenge to style (it depends on the color anyway) so, I practiced by putting looks together virtually. Check out the first colored boots styling here.

Styling colored boots: Burgundy
Boots are my favorite style of shoe wear after pumps and since I live in a very cold city, I do have a good stash or collection. However, I realized after going through my closet a year ago, that my boots collection was not as fun as my pumps which is made up of lots of colors and prints; florals, polka dots, animal prints...Haha! I must say the onset of the animal prints trend a couple of seasons ago, set things in motion for me and viola! my boots collection is a bit more fun.

Adding some color to my style: Teal + Grey and daily Meditation/Affirmation
ᔑpring is here at last and it's time to roll out the colors. And speaking of which; I'm going to roll out the colors this year! In this post, I'm wearing a casual look where I paired a grey cowl neck ribbed sweater with charcoal grey denim. I finished off the look with a teal color coat, black pair of ankle boots and my old Ann Taylor bucket bag. I wore this outfit and similar variations of it a lot this winter; a sweater, denim and boots to attend my son's basket's ball games. The coat is an old purchase from Macys. I love the color and puffy sleeve detail which is so in trend right now. The addition of color to an outfit definitely uplifts the mood especially now that the weather is starting to warm up and we have the cloudy days behind us. Beautiful sunny weather calls for beautiful bright colors.

Long Brown Coat + Brown Accessories and How to stay happy while social distancing
Ħappy Monday Friends. It's another week, another Monday and where do I even begin? The world is at a different place and history is happening right in front of our eyes; very bad history. The Coronavirus Pandemic is like a Hollywood horror movie happening right before our eyes. There would have been so much excitement about spring right now and everyone trying to enjoy the outdoors because we all have been hibernating in the winter time but we cannot do that; we cannot run around outdoors enjoying the warmer weather. Everyone has to do some social distancing at this time to stop the spread of this virus and flatten the curve and with this, I say happy Monday again.

Gingham Coat + all black Outfit
ᒏ have had this long gingham coat for a number of years now and it is one of my favorites. The coat is very trendy, chic and comfortable to wear. It is also a consignment store purchase that I scored for less than $50. A similar coat at high end stores is worth over $500 dollars. It is 100 % wool and the quality is impeccable! I think I ought to start selling fashion on Poshmark by now because I definitely know how to find treasures at the pre-loved stores. For this look, I paired the coat with another all black look just like my previous post. I completed the look with a clear bag with chain hardware to add more texture to the look and a pair of Marc Fisher combat boots which I thrifted a couple of months ago to test out the combat boot trend before I purchased this new pair. Check out the thrift haul on my Instagram Highlights here. And you can see this coat previously styled here and here. I hope everyone is complying with all the guidelines concerning the Covid 19 pandemic. Let's unite to fight this common enemy. Thank you so much for reading.

Winter Casual Style: Long green coat + square toe boots
ᒣhe weather in Minnesota pretty much dictates much of what goes on around here especially your wardrobe. If you love fashion and care about how you present yourself, then you have to have a solid winter wardrobe if you live in this city. And a solid winter wardrobe includes two or more winter coats and boots and sweaters. These pieces can cost a lot if you want really good quality but I have a tip for you if you want to go shopping for winter attire; try consignment or thrift shopping. This tip is not a secret to anyone anymore and definitely not a secret to any reader of this blog.

White turtle neck Sweater + Black Pencil Skirt
The pencil skirt is a closet essential and there are very good reasons why every lady should have one or two in her closet. It is a classic piece that can be dressed up or down, formal or casual and it's so versatile when it comes to styling. I realized last summer that my closet was in need of a black midi pencil skirt and I was on the lookout for an affordable piece of great quality. I talked about this skirt in my recent Winter Wish List and if you need one, check it out here. For this post, I styled my pencil skirt with a white ribbed turtle neck sweater and a pair of ankle boots. This is a simple way to style a pencil skirt for winter in the winter season. My dark brown wool coat made the pairing of a plain black and white outfit more interesting. I added the red fringe statement earring for a pop of color. The weather was a bit bearable when I wore this outfit so I did not have to wear some tights or stockings. A pair of black knee high boots is a good choice too when it is really cold and you need to add more layers to the outfit.

Spring Pleats
Spring is around the corner; about twenty days away but still closer than ever. There are so many things we can do in the next few weeks preparing for spring but we will focus on fashion here because this is a fashion blog. How about starting with this beautiful pleated skirt collage fashion/mood board? Pleated skirts have become a classic since they burst into the fashion scene a couple of years ago and there is basically a style of pleated skirt for every season. The heavier fabrics; suede, velvet and metallic pleated skirts are a big trend in the fall and winter months while the lighter fabrics and styles like the prints, polka dots and floral pleated skirts are a huge trend for spring and summer. The multicolor graphic pleated skirt is the statement piece in the set below. The colors in the skirt are a juxtaposition of dark and bright colors thereby making the piece appropriate for winter and spring. Check out the beautiful pleated skirt here.
This outfit set above can be referred to as a transition set; a cool way of incorporating two season's styles into an outfit. It is still winter but then spring is around the corner, kind of outfit. I paired the skirt with a black high neck blouse and a pair of sleek black ankle boots. The tan bag complements the colors in the skirt and the earrings add a pop of color. While the above pleated skirt is beautiful, it is very pricey but there are other low prized colorful pleated skirts that can be used to recreate this look. Check out some of the affordable selections below.

Work Wear: Grey color Winter Style
So, I wore this grey color boucle coat and grey pants recently just because grey is a color that is right for Winter. Wear grey colors in a monochrome style, mix it up with burgundy or black or mix it up with prints like gingham or houndstooth; however you mix it, it just comes out right. I paired my grey pants with a white long sleeve top to break up the monochromatic effect when I added the dark grey boucle coat. My dark green velvet block heels
