Shoe Lovin'

       Is it too early in the year to share some fashion trends on here? I don't think so! 😆 I'll start first with a disclaimer that this post is not to encourage you to go shopping. Summer Statement Sandals I am loving right now

       Summer is the time for events and celebrations and the time for statement sandals and shoes. We missed out on a lot of celebrations and events last year due to the pandemic but things look pretty bright this summer now that things have stated to open up.  I am sharing some of my favorite styles of summer sandals in this post. What these sandals all  have in common is that they are colorful and fun and they each have different interesting detail.  Which sandal is your favorite?

Shoe Lovin.' - Combat Boots

             ᕦombat boots have been trending for a while now and I presumed it was just going to be a passing but was I wrong! The shoe trend is still going strong this winter. This trend has a lot to do with function now more than style especially in this winter season. It is the best kind of boots to wear in this snowy, cold weather in my neck of the woods. As always, I had to look out for a cute, affordable pair that has good quality at the same time and I found this faux snake print pair at DSW. The boots has just enough details; buckles, zipper and lace to make it look interesting without being overwhelming. If you are interested in this trend and this particular boots, check it out. 

Shoe Lovin' - Snake Skin Booties

ᔑnake skin booties have been trending for two seasons now and if you are still searching for the right pair, consider this pair here and another option here that would work great for styling many outfits. The sleek and simple design make it a great option to style grown up looks. And when I say grown up looks, I mean classy or polished outfits.

Shoe Lovin': Impo Olive Wedge Sandal

The wedge sandal has been a classic for the summer season "since forever" (pardon my descriptive language) and can be considered a summer essential or wardrobe staple; somewhat of a necessity. Well, this summer, the wedge sandal is a huge trend along with other platform sandals and many fashion retailers have released their versions and designs for the summer. This eye catching, geometric print, ankle tie wedge sandal is the spotlight of our Shoe Loving Post today. The sandal is by the brand IMPO and can be found at DSW.

How I styled my clear Shoes.

Clear shoes have been around for a long time but they have become a huge trend this spring and I am not complaining. I have loved this trend for a while because it is so classy and edgy and creates interest for any outfit. I also love the fact that clear shoes are super versatile as you can find them in any style to pair with your outfit for work or for play. I even spotted a pair of clear sneakers recently on line. This post is on how I have styled this trend in the past. In the picture above, I paired a pair of black clear sandals with a grey leopard prints tunic and a pair of denim. The blouse is somewhat busy because of the print and the clear shoes tones down the outfit a bit. White Boots

White shoes trend came on the scene a couple of seasons ago and never left. This shoe color is fast becoming the favorite in most ladies' wardrobe behind the nudes and recently the snake prints. In the summer, the trend is white mules, white sneakers, white sandals and in the fall and winter months, it is the white ankle boots or knee boots. If you are interested in trying out this trend, Target is having a shoe sale currently and the selections above are my favorites. Target is one of the retailers that offer trendy fashion at affordable prices and their quality is great too. Big dots, small dots + Bermuda Shorts

Hi Friends, happy Tuesday; this is a quick post here showing one of the polka dots outfits I wore during the summer. This is a very casual look and it is a mix of old and new items from my closet. The polka dots blouse is an old purchase from T. J. Maxx and the bermuda shorts is an old closet staple. I mixed the old items with my new pair of white kitten mules from Target and this pvc bucket bag from Shein. White shoes are now the new neutrals and white mules worn in the summer would transition to white ankle boots in the fall and winter. This big and small polka dots on this blouse that look like some kind of splatter is a twist on the polka dots trend. Shoelovin' - White Pointy toe Mule Pumps

The shoe that is the topic of our shoe loving' post today is this Gianvito Rossi pointed toe mule pumps in white color. The pumps are super chic and edgy and can take any casual outfit to a high level of classy. It can be worn with dresses, skirts or denim and the white color stands out in a very good way. This design or shoe trend is super popular this summer and somewhat mimics the white boots trend we had last winter. Shoe Lovin' - Ball heel Pumps

So, here is another post on Shoe lovin,' the trending shoe style or shoe heel of the season. These shoes vary in design and style; some are pumps while some are sandals, some are high heels while others are low heel. What they all have in common is the funny or odd shaped heel; kind of like sticking a ball at the bottom of the shoe heel. The design is very chic and edgy and can be dresses up or down. Isn't it amazing that gladiators are becoming more fancy these days? Or let's put it another way; isn't it great that "strappy-flats" are trending this spring and summer? To tell you the truth, I was surprised to see all the options that came up when I searched for gladiators on- line. Some of the shoes I used to refer to as just "sandals" or flats are actually gladiators or greek sandals as they are also known. 'cute!

I hope your week is going great. Well, we made it through the month of March and April is just a few hours away. Plus, Easter weekend is almost upon us. I love Easter because it is a reminder of God's great love for humanity. He gave his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
