White and Coral

Hi Lovelies, I hope everyone had a great weekend because the weekend is pretty much over. Like I said in my previous post, we have been having lots and lots of rain in Minnesota of late and several counties are already dealing with flooding. My heart goes out to all those that were affected. I'm glad that my area was not flooded and we got some break from the rain today too. The beautiful weather today brought me so much joy and how else do you express happiness in clothing than in wearing all white outfit. I have noticed this all white trend recently too but it was something I was not going to do all the way. And that in my opinion is what everyone should do with trends; pick and choose. It's not cool to embrace every trend that you see out there. And if you must embrace it, it's okay to tweak it here and there and put your own mark on it. Okay, so I decided to accessorize my all white outfit with coral colors and this is how it turned out.

I wish everyone a great week ahead. Thanks so much for stopping by. The current giveaway on the blog ends at midnight today and the winners will be published tomorrow. The entries were few as I didn't have time to visit new blogs and spread the news but it is all good. I love my present followers who I prefer to refer to as my friends because that is what they are to me. We all get together in this little space to talk about what ladies love to talk about all the time…:-)

Also, I always make sure to follow blogs back. So, if you join/follow my site, I will surely follow yours. I am very nosy and want to know what is going on in other blogs…:-). How else can I know what is happening in your blog unless I have you in my radar, newsfeed, bloggers dashboard or bloglovin?..:-).   I also enjoy giving comments and feedbacks. So, if you leave a comment here, I'll always come to your blog to follow up on the conversation. Blogging is so much fun when it is interactive.

My Crop Denim Jacket

Hi Beauties, I feel like I abandoned my blog since my last outfit post but I got my groove back and in full force too…:-). I created some outfit collages for July 4th last night and you can view them on my previous post. A big thanks to my friends Nerline and Adegbite who stopped by to check out my selections and a big thanks to all the friends who have been readers and supporters of this blog over the years. It's just a few hours to the reveal of my first giveaway and I can't wait to publish. I was rooting for everyone and really wished I could make everyone a winner. There will be lots of other giveaways after this and who knows? Someday, I might be able to fly all my blog readers and friends to a Bahamas resort and treat them to a bash! AMEN to that! I'm praying seriously for it to come to pass. Before we have the bash, we'll first of all have a service and my hubby would preach. If you have not guessed y'all, my handsome hubby is a serious preacher. More on that later…

Now to the outfit of the day; my crop denim jacket. This crop jacket was purchased a long time back when denim jackets were trending from a neighborhood store called Deb. That was about eight years ago and all of a sudden denim jackets are trending again. You see, fashion just keeps revolving so there is no need to waste money on any piece at any time and if you have any clothing item in your closet that is trending and you love it, just do not toss them waiting for the next big trend. Now, I'm not saying you should be a hoarder and not give or donate items…no! no!! I'm just saying it is wise to keep those timeless piece because they will always be in style and you also get to save money for other things.Well, I located my denim jacket somewhere in my closet and the fact that it is a crop jacket makes it a win! win!! too…:-).

I was invited to a friend's barbecue today and that's why I got dressed up but I could not attend because it's been raining cats and dogs all day and the barbecue was supposed to be at the park. **sad face.** There are several reports of flooding in Minnesota today because the rain has been on and off for the last couple of days. I'm beginning to feel like I now live in Seattle. I pray for all the flooding victims that they find quick relief at this time of their need.

Into the Garden

Jacket: Forever 21 (old)
White tee: Hanes
Pant: Loft
Bag: Aldo
Shoes: Colin Stuart

Hi Friends; we had a somewhat dreary weekend in the twin cities. There was rain and thunderstorm the whole day yesterday and it actually caused power outages, flood and fallen trees in some areas. I feel sorry for those fathers that had to spend their father's day (the whole of today) cleaning up after the storm. It was still raining this morning when we woke up to get ready for church.

The rain made me to get out this floral jacket I purchased from Forever 21 a while back that I talked about here and previously wore here. The jacket reminds me of a flower garden and its purple and green neon  colors make it perfect to wear in the spring and summer. Can you believe that I got this jacket on sale for less than twenty dollars? **Win! Win!!**

I just made another purchase from Forever 21 a few days ago and I am dying to show you what I bought this time…:-). Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and do not forget to check out the ongoing giveaway on the blog. Check it out in the link below.

It's game time! The World Cup Soccer tournament is currently on and is being hosted by Brazil. Although I am not so much of a sports enthusiast but I do love to watch Soccer especially because hubby loves it too...:-). We could not go to Brazil to watch the games live but we surely have not missed any game either; thanks to "On demand feature and DVR." I have been curled up on the couch all day watching game after game. The outfit collage that I created on Polyvore above mimics the outfit that I have been living in since the beginning of this weekend; shorts, shirt and socks! I wish I own that lovely animal prints Proenza Schouler bag though..:-)

Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers out there. Thanks so much for stopping by and do not forget about the ongoing giveaway on the blog. Check it out in the link below.
