Pink trench Coat + brown combat boots

My pink trench coat adds a pop of color to my all-red outfit thereby creating a sort of color block; deep saturated colors are trending, and Spring is here so, it's time to get out the colors. This post though is mainly about my combat boots. This brown Guess combat boots was thrifted a few years ago when I wanted to test out the combat boots trend; previously styled here.

I liked the look and comfort of the boots so much that I went ahead and purchased a new pair from DSW blogged about here also styled in my previous post.here. Combat boot is a trend that will be around for a while and even if it is no longer a trend, it's the right kind of boots to have in a winter boots collection. Thanks so much for reading.

Houndstooth statement coat + Combat boots

Winter calls for warm cozy coats and even better when the coat is also stylish too. This long gingham coat is that trusted piece for me. I decided to style it with a grey knit dress and combat boots for this post. The weather is starting to warm up and though it was sunny in this post, it was still quite cold.

However, it's almost time to put away the winter coats but this piece would definitely be the last to be stowed away. And I have said it on here so many times, it was thrifted for less than $50 at a consignment store. How do you beat that? Hurray to sustainable fashion. Thanks so much for stopping by.

The reason you need a sequin top every holiday season

Every holiday season, retailers release sequin outfits; dresses, skirts and tops that sell really fast even before they hit the store shelves. Ladies buy these pieces at exorbitant price only to throw them at the back of the closet after the holiday because sequin pieces are usually not every day wear. My approach has always been to purchase one top or blouse that can be styled over and over.

It is the season to wear plaid

There is something about cold weather and plaid for me that I really cannot explain. When the temperature starts to drop at the start of the fall/autumn season, I get the longing to add this particular print to my wardrobe. The entrance of the shirt jacket "aka" Shacket (Shirt-Jacket) into the fashion scene this season, is another reason why I love this print. If you must know, the shirt jacket has been around for ages as men's wear and it slowly got into women's fashion recently. I loved this H&M piece a lot but it quickly sold out and since I really wanted to try out the trend, I decided to go thrifting for it and sure enough, I found a few pieces to add to my wardrobe this season.

Camouflage Jacket + Knit Dress

eteran's Day 2020 has an added layer of appreciation and thankfulness for all those who have served and are serving this country every day. These days, a branch of our military namely "National Guards" are helping  out in the fight against Covid-19 by building field hospitals and helping with distribution of essentials. A very big "Thank-You" to all our veterans and a big "Thank-You" to all our essential workers.

In this post, I'm wearing a knit dress from Target  which is actually a free flowing maxi knit dress but I used a belt to cinch my upper midriff and tucked the dress over it to create an illusion of a cropped top and a bottom. I paired the knit dress with a camouflage jacket which is a nod to the current "Shaket" (Shirt-Jacket) trend. My brown combat boots and pouch bag completed the look. What do you think of camouflage jackets or camouflage pieces in general? Besides, we just had our second snowfall of the season a few days ago; a snow storm so early in the season. Thanks so much for reading.

All black Outfit + Combat boots and reminding us of God's special Love

n all black outfit is the easiest to put together; just pull textures in different fabrics like leather, lace or knits like I did here in a previous post or put on an all black outfit and accessorize with fun accessories like I did here in this post. You won't believe it guys, I wore this outfit to Church on a Sunday! 😀 I was surprised myself too!! If you know me, I like to dress up real girlie for Church with stiletto pumps and all that on Sundays but I don't mind a casual look for the Wednesday, mid-week services. So, on this particular Sunday, I wanted to wear a different look; the snow was starting to melt and everywhere outdoors was all wet and slushy so I decided to wear my new pair of combat boots blogged about here.

2020 Fashion Trend: Colored Leather

eather is a huge trend this season, especially colored leather and I am loving the trend! If you are into the trend too, this post is for you. This cameo color puffy sleeve dress, available here and here is suitable for spring with a pair of black leggings or tights. This look is suitable for activities and occasions like school, shopping or running errands; accessorize the look with colored accessories like the wine color bucket bag, combat boots and statement earrings and you would have a great outfit for fashion events like blogger meet-ups or conferences. If you need more inspiration, check out my previous post here and here. Happy viewing, happy styling.

Shoe Lovin.' - Combat Boots

ombat boots have been trending for a while now and I presumed it was just going to be a passing but was I wrong! The shoe trend is still going strong this winter. This trend has a lot to do with function now more than style especially in this winter season. It is the best kind of boots to wear in this snowy, cold weather in my neck of the woods. As always, I had to look out for a cute, affordable pair that has good quality at the same time and I found this faux snake print pair at DSW. The boots has just enough details; buckles, zipper and lace to make it look interesting without being overwhelming. If you are interested in this trend and this particular boots, check it out.
