Last minute Christmas Gift Ideas

Are you still looking for gift ideas for your loved ones? If yes, this post is for you. How are you doing today? I hope great. I must say that gifts and presents is not all that Christmas is all about. Christmas is the remembrance and celebration of the birth of our lord Jesus Christ and the gift of salvation. This season embodies the concept of giving (the birth of Christ) so it is okay to celebrate by giving of gifts.

A knit dress is an essential piece this season

How is everyone doing? I know we all can't wait for this year to get done because there is so much faith in us that the new year is going to usher in great things. I am very excited for Christmas which is just two days away and I am also excited about this knit dress which I got from Lulus. It is one of the best purchases I ever made. The wine color midi dress with bubble sleeves is very appropriate for this season because of the Christmassy color. I also like that it is very modest and chic at the same time. I decided to style it with same color of accessories to create a monochromatic look. Thanks so much for stopping by.

The reason you need a sequin top every holiday season

Every holiday season, retailers release sequin outfits; dresses, skirts and tops that sell really fast even before they hit the store shelves. Ladies buy these pieces at exorbitant price only to throw them at the back of the closet after the holiday because sequin pieces are usually not every day wear. My approach has always been to purchase one top or blouse that can be styled over and over.

What to wear to work the week before Christmas

Christmas is a few days away and I can still feel the buzz about the holiday even amidst the pandemic. If you are an essential worker who goes to work away from home and you need some inspiration on what to wear to work this week, think no further. This is the time to get out your plaids: skirts, pants, scarfs or coats. It is also the time to get out your glitter pumps. If you work in a corporate setting, a modest length plaid skirt is a great piece of clothing to wear to work this season. Also, replace your nude color shoes or pumps with a pair of sparkly or glitter pumps. And do not forget the coat. A great color coat of very good quality is a must-have for this season too. For the casual style of this look, check out this post here. Thanks so much for reading.

How I styled my Christmas themed Sweater and why I celebrate Christmas

This Christmas themed Sweater has been in my closet for ages and I have worn it several times over the years but it is the first time I am styling it on the blog. I got it years ago to wear to a ugly Christmas sweater party at work and to be honest with you, I don't even know why that is even a thing. There is nothing ugly about Christmas so why did someone come up with such a concept? I do admit that some Christmas themed sweaters are really "costumey" though but I would rather we call it by a different name; haha! πŸ˜•

How to style Leather: Outfit inspiration

Leather is a huge trend this fall and if you have never loved leather pieces, this might be a good time or season to rethink your style or taste in wardrobe. There are so many pieces or items made from leather in various price points from different retailers; high and low and you will definitely find something that you like. Leather fabric is great for the season and would elevate any piece of clothing that is is paired with, if styled right. Gone are the days when the only piece of leather clothing we all owned was a boring piece of leather moto jacket.

Orange color coat + Getting into the Christmas spirit

What a unique year it has been and I bet everyone is eagerly waiting for the last day of the year to roll by. In as much as I want the year to roll away, I definitely do not want to do away with Christmas. Christmas season is just my favorite time of the year and my favorite holiday. I would still be celebrating this year but would be celebrating safely. So, there would be no Christmas parties this year just family celebration at home.  To get into the Christmas spirit, I'm doing most of my Christmas tradition which includes decorating the house and buying of gifts for loved ones. What about you; did you get into the Christmas spirit yet? How are you celebrating the holiday this year?

It is the season to wear plaid

There is something about cold weather and plaid for me that I really cannot explain. When the temperature starts to drop at the start of the fall/autumn season, I get the longing to add this particular print to my wardrobe. The entrance of the shirt jacket "aka" Shacket (Shirt-Jacket) into the fashion scene this season, is another reason why I love this print. If you must know, the shirt jacket has been around for ages as men's wear and it slowly got into women's fashion recently. I loved this H&M piece a lot but it quickly sold out and since I really wanted to try out the trend, I decided to go thrifting for it and sure enough, I found a few pieces to add to my wardrobe this season.

Styling my blue velvet dress for Christmas two ways

How do you want to celebrate Christmas this year? It's definitely going to be different for almost everyone for sure. For me, It's going to be a quiet celebration. Usually, I would host Christmas parties at home but since we are social distancing this year, I'm going to celebrate with my immediate family so, there is no need for elegant, fancy attire. I'll reserve the big puffy dresses for next year; haha! πŸ˜€

Π”t this time, my fashion wish lists and shopping guides are just mainly for entertainment and not meant to be considered seriously unless you really, really want to indulge because to be honest; who needs another pair of shoes or another bag or another jacket even if it is a leather jacket? We all know by now that our health and friendships and relationships is (are) what we should be investing in especially at this unprecedented time in our history. So, a big disclaimer here; this list is not meant to inspire you to do more shopping but rather to entertain you as you curl up on your couch with a hot cup of cocoa enjoying time with your family or friends. Leather Blazer + Maxi Denim Skirt

Ԋi  everyone πŸ˜ƒ We are finally in the last month of the year 2020 and it's with Faith that I say that I pray that all our headaches and heartaches end with the year 2020. I pray that the upcoming year 2021 usher in a new beginning for us all. Well, it's December 1st! I took these pictures on a windy beautiful fall afternoon when the weather was a little cold but not cold enough for a heavy jacket. This brown printed leather blazer is one of my favorite thrifted blazers and believe me when I tell you that I purchased it for less than $20 and it is in great condition and 100% leather too.

I know that this would not sound great to the animal activists out there and I sincerely apologize...I believe in sustainable fashion and saving the environment and was not exactly looking for 100% leather when I found this blazer. A printed leather jacket like this one  costs hundred of dollars at the stores. I paired the blazer with a vintage maxi denim  skirt and white button down shirt and completed the look with brown square toe boots. Believe me again when I tell you that this is a perfect fall outfit. Thanks so much for reading.
