Styling colored boots: Burgundy

 

     Boots are my favorite style of shoe wear after pumps and since I live in a very cold city, I do have a good stash or collection. However, I realized after going through my closet a year ago, that my boots collection was not as fun as my pumps which is made up of lots of colors and prints; florals, polka dots, animal prints...Haha! I must say the onset of the animal prints trend a couple of seasons ago, set things in motion for me and viola! my boots collection is a bit more fun. 

Shoe Lovin' : Brown studded Boots

 

       βoots season is here and my pick for Shoe Lovin' Post this fall is this beautiful pair of Kelly pointed toe boot that is selling out fast everywhere. The western style design is so on trend this season. The boots is pull on style with 31/4 chunky, block heels. The brown stud details is very chic and unexpected and the deep brown chocolate color makes it the right color (boot) choice for the season. Shoe Lovin.' - Combat Boots

             ᕦombat boots have been trending for a while now and I presumed it was just going to be a passing but was I wrong! The shoe trend is still going strong this winter. This trend has a lot to do with function now more than style especially in this winter season. It is the best kind of boots to wear in this snowy, cold weather in my neck of the woods. As always, I had to look out for a cute, affordable pair that has good quality at the same time and I found this faux snake print pair at DSW. The boots has just enough details; buckles, zipper and lace to make it look interesting without being overwhelming. If you are interested in this trend and this particular boots, check it out. 

Shoe Lovin': Stiletto Knee high Boots:

Another shoe lovin' post here featuring this beautiful knee high stiletto heel boots. This Balmain designer boots have since sold out online but since this shoe lovin' post or feature on the blog is dedicated to highlighting shoes that are unique or trending, (check out this previous shoe lovin' post here) it still needs to be blogged about irrespective of the fact that they actually retailed for over a $1000 dollars. The "mule style" design of this boots is really eye catching and the boots are so elegant that they look like sculptural pieces.  The gold toned tipped stiletto heels also add to the wow factor of these heels. Plaid Blazer + Patch work Denim

Sometimes I wonder what age ladies can stop wearing distressed denim or tight/skinny jeans. I'm in my forties and this pops up in my head sometimes. Well, I think of it whenever I put on this denim which I have had for years, purchased from Loft. In my opinion, I think it actually depends on how the jeans/denim is styled and the occasion or event that you are attending I love to style my denim with a blazer most times especially in the cold weather seasons. The plaid blazer is my favorite to pair with denim. It was cold when I styled this outfit and if you are in need of a casual outfit to wear on a cold day, consider this combination. If you have a date planned with your hubby or your friends, this outfit would work. if you are not into high heels, you can swap out the booties for low heel knee boots. I know there is so much excitement and hype going on right now about Valentine's day but it is not a holiday I celebrate and this is why I have not done any blog post relating to it. I believe in the celebration of love every minute, every day and every little gesture counts when we express love to people we care about every day; a thank-you note, a call, spending time together and going on special dates to celebrate special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries...everyone got to do this on the daily.

Red oversized sweater and Plaid Pants

I have a couple of plaid prints pieces in my closet that are a different twist to the current bold plaid prints that is trending right now. It is "tiny-teenie" plaid prints that you have to quint to see. I believe if I had a better camera, you would be able to see what I mean through the pictures. This is a subtle way of doing a trend if you do not want to be that obvious. For example, if you work in a conservative or very formal work place and you want to wear trending fashion to work, this is the best way to do it.
