Denim and Floral Skirt

Denim shirt should be a staple in everyone's closet because it is such a great neutral that can go with almost any kind of bottom. I paired mine with this floral midi skirt I purchased from JCrew recently and completed the look with a pair of red fringe sandals; very casual and fun outfit.

Floral skirts are just so appropriate for the summer too and they should be staples  in our closet. The summer is rolling by so fast and I am doing all I can to enjoy each day with my family. I hope you are enjoying your summer too. What do you think of floral skirts?

#Styleboard

Hi Friends, remember I said I have been busy doing stuff behind the scenes? one of which is running two Instagram accounts. One of my accounts which I am showcasing in this post is a compilation of my Polyvore sets and the aim is just to have fun with fashion and styling which is one of my fun things to do. What lady does not like fashion; right? Style board helps me get organized with my wardrobe and it gives me inspiration when I put outfits together for an event. Polyvore is a good website for shopping too because you can search for items in different price range and budgets.

Stop by my feed @beautysfashionzone and let me know what you think of my styleboards.  My personal IG is @beautyojo and I'll love to connect with you on there too. Let's support each other and work together in leaving positive footprints in our world.

Shoe Lovin'

              Topshop Mules

The last time I did a post about Summer shoe trends here I definitely left out one of the biggest trend of the Summer; "mules." Although this trend is creating a buzz right now in fashion, this shoe trend is definitely recycled because it was around sometime in the mid nineties when the Jelly version graced the runways and street fashion. I would say there are more stylish versions of the mules around now though especially this mustard color Topshop brand; it is just so beautiful in my opinion and can be dressed up and down. It also comes in other solid colors like blue and wine and retails for $110. You can check it out here.

Since this might be a trend that might not last for two long? I did some research and found a cheaper version on Amazon which are currently on sale for less than $40. It is made of leather and not as dramatic as the Topshop ones and the reviews reveal that the sizing is off but hey!...lol

JCrew has a 40% sale off with the code "SUMMER" right now and they have very beautiful print pieces that I admire and am sharing on here. In their sale collection, we can find, windowpane, stripes, tropical prints, florals and tie-dye which is a trending print right now.

If you are familiar with JCrew pieces, they are of such high quality though their prices might be steep on a regular day. Check out this sale in store or online when you get the time.

Purple Lace Dress

Lace dresses are my favorite kind of dresses mostly because they can go to many functions/events; weddings, showers, church and even work when tucked into a pencil skirt. I purchased this beautiful purple number from Jcrew a while back and I loved the quality and design so much that I purchased it in a blue color too. I tucked it into a red maxi skirt for a previous post here. I accessorized this with my animal print Michael Kors pumps and then cinched my waist with a belt. These pictures were taken right after church service on a beautiful spring day.

Do you love lace dresses as much as I do? They can be real cute as a LBD (little black dress) and can be dressed up or down. I trust your week is going great friends.

Workwear Thursday

Happy Thursday Friends; I hope everyone is doing great. These pictures were taken by my daughter with my iPhone a few weeks ago and I really liked the look although the pictures are not too clear. I have always loved blazers for the fact that they dress up and elevate any look. Black, yellow and white combo is no brainer and it looks great however you choose to combine the pieces; it's a beautiful color combination for summer too.

I like to wear heels a lot especially for corporate work wear outfits. The heels here can be switched up for flats and this work wear would still be chic and edgy. I look forward to being on your blogs soon to see all the creativity I missed while I was away from Blogsville.

Blue Lace and red maxi Skirt

Hi Friends; I hope everyone is doing great; so much is happening in this world of ours these days that is so difficult to understand. So much violence and brutality in our beloved country; the U.S.A. It was independence day/July 4th a few days ago nd this outfit is what I wore over the weekend to church. The top is a Jcrew dress which I used as a top for my maxi Chicwish skirt. Lace dresses are so chic and so, so versatile for the fact that they do double duty as tops.

There are tons of ways of styling blue, red and white for independence celebration but for this outfit, I chose to eliminate the white and wore some tan color heels instead. Some people think wearing patriotic colors to celebrate July 4th is cheesy but I think it is fun; and fun and celebration are things we all need to strive for in this world rather than all the violence and killings. My heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones. #Blacklivesmatter #Alllivesmatter
