Polka dots Dress + Square toed Sandals

Polka dots pieces are essentials in a closet in my opinion. The print is a classic and never goes out of style. Every spring and summer, polka dots prints emerge on the fashion scene and what differentiates it from one season to the next, is the way that it is styled. A polka dots dress is the piece you need when you need to add some interest to your wardrobe. The dress that stole my heart this season is this Monique Lhuillier dress here and here. 'So, so gorgeous! 😍

My dress that I am wearing in this post was purchased from Boohoo a couple of summers ago. I styled it with a pair of black square toed sandals from Ego Shoes, an online shoe store that sells a lot of inspired dupes and variations of luxury shoes. The quality and price point of their shoes is great for fast fashion if you want to get into a trend without spending a lot of money. I completed my look with a white pouch bag and black tassel earrings. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Brown and black Polka dots style

The polka dots trend is still going on strong and while I love the trend and do not mind it, I still think that the black and white polka dots which is the classic print is now a bit too trendy. I love other colors of the trend like the white background with the black dots. The color combination I really love most is this tan background and black dots. The color combination is not so common and if you know me, you'll know that I love a different twist on a trend. J. Crew   really got it right when they launched this polka dot chino pants two summers ago, no wonder they sold out so fast. Other styles of this polka dots combination that I have seen online are super expensive like this pant here. The pants are beautiful but on the steep side. If I didn't get this pair from J. Crew before it sold out, I probably would have headed to the fabric store to find the print. Yes, if  you cannot afford it or cannot find it, try and make it. That is the new rule for the new year. Go, and just create! Check out my previous styling of this pants  here and thanks so much for reading.

Layered in Eshakti polka dots dress and a denim jacket

Happy Monday Friends; it's October....😀 October is my favorite month because it is my birthday month; haha! Then, I just love it because it is fall which is my favorite time of the year. I love the cold weather in October (not too cold and without the snow although we do get snow in October in Minnesota) and I love it when the trees start to change colors just before they lose their leaves. I love fall weddings too and I attended one a few weeks ago. My favorite layering piece this year is my denim jacket. For this look, I layered it over a polka dots dress which I used as a blouse when I tucked it into my red midi skirt. The polka dots dress I used for this look is this Eshakti polka dots dress I blogged about here. The dress has a full skirt but it tucked well into this full midi skirt I purchased from Chicwish a couple of summers ago. I completed the look with this Ann Taylor satin bow mules blogged about here and here. The weather is not cold enough yet for boots so I am enjoying this light layering for as long as I can. I shared my favorite Bible verse and prayer for the new month below and would love you to check it out. Thanks so much for stopping by here

Big dots, small dots + Bermuda Shorts

Hi Friends, happy Tuesday; this is a quick post here showing one of the polka dots outfits I wore during the summer. This is a very casual look and it is a mix of old and new items from my closet. The polka dots blouse is an old purchase from T. J. Maxx and the bermuda shorts is an old closet staple. I mixed the old items with my new pair of white kitten mules from Target and this pvc bucket bag from Shein. White shoes are now the new neutrals and white mules worn in the summer would transition to white ankle boots in the fall and winter. This big and small polka dots on this blouse that look like some kind of splatter is a twist on the polka dots trend. Again, I look forward to wearing this trend into fall and I'm loving this sweater here. I wish you a blessed rest of the week and thanks so much for stopping by here.

Polka dots Skirt + white button down shirt

So, polka dots prints we know is trending right now. I dug into my Blog Photo Folder and found these pictures I took last summer where I wore this beautiful ruffle hem skirt that I purchased from NET-A-PORTER. The price was a little steep but I loved the skirt and knew it was a huge statement skirt and did not want to pass on it. I paired it with a white bodysuit botton up shirt that I purchased from Victorias Secret years ago. You can find similar piece here and here. This season, there are more budget friendly versions of this skirt like this piece on the Shein Website but I don't know about the quality of their clothing because I have not shopped on the site before. A similar piece in a different color is on the Eshakti website and that I can vouch for the quality because I have shopped on their site so many times. I completed my look with pom-pom sandals from Asos blogged about here. also, check out a similar polka dot look in this post here. Thanks so much for stopping by here.

The "Polka dots" trend of the Season

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing great. Have you organized your wardrobe for summer yet? If you have, I hope you have some polka dots prints on there because "Polka-dottie" is the number one prints trend for the season. And it is not just any polka dots, it is the black dots on white background kind of dots. It is very chic and trendy and you would see it around a lot this summer. However, any color polka dots is still a trend this season and I really like this yellow polka dots balloon sleeves blouse here. Another twist on the trend is the ruffles like this polka dot ruffle dress here. And if you are not into polka dots pieces, you can get polka dots accessories like this polka dots Christian

Yellow shorts suit + Polka dots

Happy Monday Friends; I hope you had a great Mother's day celebration. Mine was beautiful with lots of love and presents 😉 Hubs got me a cute designer bag and it is actually the second one I am getting from him so it looks like someone is trying to turn me into a "Bag Lady" hehehe 😆 The straw bag I'm carrying in this pic was gifted to me by my older Sis. over 8 years ago when straw bags were not even a thing and I am glad I took good care of it. It will certainly be in constant rotation this spring and summer. The short suit I have on here are separates and you can tell from the pictures that they are different shades. This is actually the way I like to style my suits and it's quite affordable for me too. I got the blazer from a thrift store for about $7 years ago and got the shorts from JCrew clearance sale for about $9 dollars a while back so you can see that this suit is less than $20. The

Double Polka dots

Happy Monday Friends; I hope you all had a great weekend. As usual, I spent mine with family because after God, family is everything to me. Then, I spent a little bit of time on the blog and the polyvore app creating sets after sets. The polyvore app can be so addictive!. Now unto this post; I found this old pictures in my archive and realized that I had not blogged it; so here it goes...

I styled this look around this polka dots pumps and on a whim, decided to put on my polka dots blouse with my red jacket to complement the shoes which is Sophia Webster by the way. I am usually not into shoe name brands;

Polka dots and Culottes

Happy Wednesday Friends; as always, I hope your week is going great. This post is on polka dots and culottes; an outfit I wore months ago. The two pieces of the outfit are from Loft stores but they are currently sold out and if you want similar items, you might want to look into the 50% off sale currently going on at Loft.

Polka dots prints are here to stay and so also is culottes. The pair I am wearing here seem a little too long and I am sure that is why it went on sale. I love the width though and I ended up buying it in two colors. I'll be styling the second pair sometime soon. As always, thanks a lot for stopping by here.

Polka dot Skirt

It's Friday; 'yay!!!" This is a quick look at this fun outfit I wore a few weeks ago and it can be a fun outfit for the weekend for anyone; a mix of formal and casual. The formal being the dress up shirt and the casual being the polka-dots high-low skirt and block heels. You can wear this outfit with slight modifications to work on Friday for casual Friday and to after hours shenanigans. Polka dots skirts are always fun to wear and you can certainly twirl in a full midi skirt like this one. Happy Friday...:-)

Polka Dotty...

Happy Monday Friends; this post is going to be short and chic!...:-). I had a very busy weekend; I attended a baby dedication party on Saturday and it was a lot of fun and on Sunday, I wore this polka dots outfit to church along with this Sophia Webster pumps that I purchased at the beginning of the summer and blogged about here. I would have loved to say more about this outfit and how polka dots print is so classy and blah! blah!! blah!!! but I won't say no more. Polka dots is so overdone already! I know you'll agree with me. Now, let's talk about something else...:-).

Blouse: Nordstrom rack
Skirt: Macys
Earrings and bracelet: Jcrew
Pumps: Sophia Webster

I stopped by at the farmers market on Sunday after church and I was actually surprised that there was a farmer's market open on Sunday. I never knew about it until my friend mentioned it and we went there together. I just decided to take the pictures at the market on the spur of the moment and I was actually surprised that no one really cared...:-). I thought I was going to get a lot of stares like you get from some people most times when you take pictures in a public place. Well, at the end, I went home with some memorable pictures and lots of fresh vegetables; haha! How do you react when people stare at you taking pictures in a public place? Your thoughts...

Fall Fashion Preview- Work Wear

Fall is just around the corner and some of the trends  for work (office) wear include; stripes, polka dots and Florals; these trends however have always been there but they'll be more noticeable this season than ever before. I am loving these combinations here that I put together on Polyvore and I have also planned to post more work attire or office looks here on the blog. Let's make fashion fun this fall and thanks a lot for stopping by here.

Polka dots and Window Pane

Happy Sunday; I am so glad that Sunday is God's day. We have all week to run around and do other things that allow for daily living so why can't we dedicate a day for worship? Just one day to go to God's house and say thank-you for all he did during the week? It does not necessarily have to be Sunday though. Some people work on sundays and might not be able to go to church. No matter what day we pick, it is always great to be in God's house. A lot of churches do have services in the evenings in the week too. And then, if you absolutely cannot make it to church for one reason or the other, how about taking a few minutes out of the day to say a prayer and thank-you to God for his grace and mercies? There is a lot to thank God for; no matter what. My motto in life is to always "count my blessings." What about you; what is your moto?

Well, I am thankful today amongst other things for this outfit especially this polka dot blouse which I finally got to wear today. I fell in love with it when I saw it on polyvore while I was creating this outfit here. I ordered it in two colors; the white and the red in my regular size but was disappointed when I received them and found out that they were a little snug and since they didn't have them in larger sizes, I kept them anyway. I tried them out again a while ago after I lost some weight and viola..:-). Everything fell into place when I purchased this window pane print pants and I am looking forward to all kinds of pairings with these two pieces.  I decided to put on this pair of charcoal grey canvas pumps I ordered from Victorias secret a while ago because I did not want to wear black pumps with the outfit.

I was somewhat wary of the print-mix trend for a long time but I think I'm comfortable enough now to experiment with some other styles of print mixing. I wish you all a blessed week and see you soon.

Green and Polka Dots

Hi everyone, I hope we all had a great weekend. Mine was super eventful; details later..:-). I chose to wear this emerald green cropped pants blogged about here today and I must say I got quite a surprise. The last time I wore them, they were cropped pants and had a nice fit but today, they became all baggy. You know that's good right? That means "yours Sincerely" is losing some weight!..:-). And also, I think I purchased the pants during my first trimester last year and they fit perfectly then. Another reason could also be that the pants ran higher than the usual size. I didn't want to change them out today for something else because I was just captivated by the cool green color and soft fabric but I know it's definitely going for some alteration.

I debated about just wearing a plain black blouse over it then opted for this sheer polka dots blouse. The green vintage necklace which the pictures didn't do justice completed the look. My butterfly ring was a last minute add-on and I have no idea why I slipped it on but it sure took my mind way back. My butterfly ring has been with me since my early days of blogging and it's still here; ever faithful. I lost it a couple of times and recovered it each time somehow. It is very similar to my relationship with God. No matter how far away I wander, he's always there waiting with open arms. He's ever ready to listen and always quick to forgive anyone.

Dots n Red

Hi Friends, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Mine was very quiet; I spent yesterday just lazing around the house eating and sleeping and then I went to church this morning. This is what I wore. The high waist pencil skirt has been in trend for a while along with the cropped top. Since I do not own any of these items, I had the idea to "fake" the trend and after going through my closet last night, this is what I came up with. The high waist pants I'm wearing is actually the maternity pants I bought from Target when I was pregnant. I just pulled the stretchy waist over my white and black polka dot  blouse to fake a cropped top look over high waist pants. It's a subtle nod to the current trend and I'm glad that I still get to put my maternity pants to use. I'll be styling it as a jumpsuit next...:-)
