Polka dots Dress + Square toed Sandals

 

        Polka dots pieces are essentials in a closet in my opinion. The print is a classic and never goes out of style. Every spring and summer, polka dots prints emerge on the fashion scene and what differentiates it from one season to the next, is the way that it is styled. A polka dots dress is the piece you need when you need to add some interest to your wardrobe. The dress that stole my heart this season is this Monique Lhuillier dress here and here. 'So, so gorgeous! 😍

 My dress that I am wearing in this post was purchased from Boohoo a couple of summers ago. I styled it with a pair of black square toed sandals from Ego Shoes, an online shoe store that sells a lot of inspired dupes and variations of luxury shoes. The quality and price point of their shoes is great for fast fashion if you want to get into a trend without spending a lot of money. National thrift shop day: Four reasons why I thrift

 

         𐍂eal fashion or style cannot fully be achieved without a mix of high and low pieces and this is the main reason, the very reason why every one should consider thrifting or consignment shopping followed by sustaining and protecting the earth. Even high end designers and stylists do thrifting or flea market shopping or vintage shopping or consignment shopping. Whatever you decide to call it, or how you decide to do it does not matter; it is just important that you consider it. These days, you do not have to go to a physical store like Goodwill to thrift as there are so many thrift stores online like Thred - Up, Porshmark or the The Real Real. Today is "National thrifting day" and I would love to share with you the four reasons why I thrift.

Easter and Mother's Day holidays/celebration are around the corner and it is time to add one or two pieces to your wardrobe if you can afford it.  The holiday sales and discounts that are present at this time, entices us to freshen up our wardrobe.You know how it is ladies; you wear an outfit to an event one time and you are a bit reluctant to wear it to a second event or party especially when you have the same circle of friends. eShakti FX Custom Styling: Now on Amazon!

eShakti FX is now on Amazon!  eShakti is one of my favorite online shops to shop for dresses and special occasion outfits and I have done a couple of collaborations with the brand in the past. I signed up for brand e-mails to get first hand information about sales and promotions and I get really excited whenever there is anything new on the site. I wrote a blog post last year to announce a new customization feature on the website known as eShakti FX and you can read about the previous post here. The recent news is that eShakti has launched this new customization feature (eShakti FX) on Amazon and this is really exciting if you are familiar with the brand. This means that it's going to be a lot easier to shop eShakti now because we all know Amazon is the world's largest retailer.

If you still need some clarity about this customization feature, I'll love to tell you about it. It is a tool that allows you to style any outfit on the website that has the FX feature. This means you can change the neckline of an outfit, the sleeve length and the length and you can see the changes (style) on the model image as you make them. For example in the red asymmetrical dress listed A below, the sleeve length is "cap sleeves;" when you change the sleeves in the drop down button customization box (during the ordering process on the site) to "three quarter length," you can see the change visually on the model's image. When you change it from B to sleeveless, you see the style on C.
