        We are almost in the dog days of summer, and the stores are in the process of changing out their inventory to Fall hence the sales and discounts that are going on presently. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale might be the most popular one but do not overlook stores like H&M. I was at a store recently and found some great pieces on sale and wanted to share some favorites that I put on my wish list on the blog.

   Finally, Summer is over and Fall is here. Are you done getting your fall wardrobe together? When it comes to footwear, there are so many shoe trends at the moment and the trendiest shoe is definitely the ballet flats and kitten heels. However, the underrated shoe trend this season is the thong sandal. The thong sandal or flip-flops is typically a summer/vacation/beach footwear; it has however crept into everyday fashion.

        Green has always been one of my favorite colors though I do not wear or style it that much as a whole outfit. How to style colors for Fall

       There is a sure way to add colors to a Fall outfit and that's by the use of colorful accessories. Sure, we all like to wear rich jewel tone colors like wine, browns, orange and greys in the fall and lots of animal print but just imagine pairing these colors with pops of pink and blue and a little bit of yellow? The result will be an outfit that lifts up the spirit like the one above. And the blue sandals can be swapped out for a pair of brown boots if you so choose. Happy viewing, happy styling.

       Summer is the time for events and celebrations and the time for statement sandals and shoes. We missed out on a lot of celebrations and events last year due to the pandemic but things look pretty bright this summer now that things have stated to open up.  I am sharing some of my favorite styles of summer sandals in this post. What these sandals all  have in common is that they are colorful and fun and they each have different interesting detail.  Which sandal is your favorite?

Shoe Lovin': Cow print Mules

 

     Mules are back on trend and I mean mules, as in old school mules or nineties mules. I saw this cow print mules online and loved it right away. It is a unique twist on the mule trend with the very unique prints. I have always loved calf prints because it's so unique. Summer Wish List

       ਹust a few things on my summer wish list to lighten the mood during this season. I'm loving this floral maxi dress from H&M  mainly because of the beautiful print and the sleeves and it sure would make for a great lounging outfit. Other things on my list are the faux plant décor and the potting vase. Plants and gardening is (are) huge trend at the moment but if you do not have a green thumb, a faux plant is an alternative to bringing life and personality to any space. This weather resistant planter would look beautiful indoors or outdoors. The pink Badgley Mischka pumps is an affordable dupe to the Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps which would make for great party shoes. We might not be celebrating or going to events right now but we would get to it as soon as this pandemic is over. The jewelry and nail polish are just to help us step up our beauty routine at this time. Thanks so much for reading.

Shoe Lovin' - Purple Square - toed Sandals

       ϸurple has always been my favorite color and when it comes in square-toed sandals, my favorite shoe trend of the season, it makes me even more excited about the trend. This quilted square-toed sandals that are Bottega Veneta inspired dupes, are comfortable and chic and the deep purple hue makes it perfect for color blocking pairings in the fall. Puffy sleeve blazer + Velvet

                իi everyone, I hope we are all doing great; just a short blog post here to brighten up our day. There is so much negativity and uncertainty out there right now and I believe everyone just have to do what we can to keep our spirits up. I was looking through my Blog Archives the other day and realized that I had not published this post featuring one of my holiday outfits so, I decided to get it done. I wore this puffy sleeves, embellished (embroidered) vintage blazer over a vintage silk ruffle neck blouse paired with velvet pants and gold singback and a box clutch. I wore this outfit to Church a few days after the New Year. I pray that the blessings and good tidings of the new never leave us. Thanks so much for reading.

Shoe Lovin' - Square toe Satin Loafers

               ᔑquare toe shoes are trending this season and so is loafers. Although, this classic shoe style has been around for a long time, it cycles in and out of the fashion scene from time to time. It has reemerged as a trend this season mostly because of the square toe trend. I spotted this satin loafers on line and decided to feature it here on the blog on the Shoe lovin' Series. The pearl accessory or embellishment is such a cute detail and the cameo color gives a nod to the combat shoes trend. This shoe by sole society, has sold out online but you might still find them in pre-loved sites like Porshmark and Tradesy. Winter Shopping List

               ᒎ know winter is almost over and spring is around the corner but for me, the two seasons kind of merge as one because we do get snow in my state till April. So, it's not too late to do a winter wish list. I love to plan and list my needed items some place where I can see them and I love making the list as colorful and fun as I can. For this season, I need a colorful puffy coat preferably a red color one because the color is so fun and bold. Puffy coats are also a big trend this season and we would see the trend even into the spring season.  Combat boots is another huge trend this season and a very functional one at that. Shoe Lovin' - Snake Skin Booties

ᔑnake skin booties have been trending for two seasons now and if you are still searching for the right pair, consider this pair here and another option here that would work great for styling many outfits. The sleek and simple design make it a great option to style grown up looks. And when I say grown up looks, I mean classy or polished outfits.

I have been loving embellished shoes al lot lately to the extent that I even did some DIY on a couple of my pumps like the one I wore in this post here. So, when I saw this black embellished pumps on the Nordstrom website, it was pretty much love at first sight. I love the combination of faux silver and cymbals embellishment and this would look great paired with denim and a white tee or paired with an all black outfit.
