Brown and black Polka dots style

The polka dots trend is still going on strong and while I love the trend and do not mind it, I still think that the black and white polka dots which is the classic print is now a bit too trendy. I love other colors of the trend like the white background with the black dots. The color combination I really love most is this tan background and black dots. The color combination is not so common and if you know me, you'll know that I love a different twist on a trend. J. Crew   really got it right when they launched this polka dot chino pants two summers ago, no wonder they sold out so fast. Other styles of this polka dots combination that I have seen online are super expensive like this pant here. The pants are beautiful but on the steep side. If I didn't get this pair from J. Crew before it sold out, I probably would have headed to the fabric store to find the print. Yes, if  you cannot afford it or cannot find it, try and make it. That is the new rule for the new year. Tan color sweater + Brown Culottes

Tan, browns, beige and nudes are typical fall colors which I decided to bring together in this outfit. I am wearing a tan color cable knit sweater, an old purchase from Loft and a dark brown pair of culottes, an old piece from my closet. My accessories are pretty light; a pair of nude pumps, a red mini quilted bag for a pop of color and a printed silk scarf for some interest. Can you believe I forgot to put on a pair of earrings when I got dressed to go out before taking these pics? At other times, I would have been very conscious of my bare ears but with this added printed scarf around my neck, I was just fine. A very simple, laid back outfit I must say. What are your plans for Thanksgiving celebration? Everyday should be Thanksgiving in my book and I have a lot to be thankful to God for starting with his love and mercy and grace on my life and on my family. I thank God for good health and for good friends and I really just thank him for everything. Without God, where would I be? (Nowhere!) What are you thankful to God for?

Leopard Prints Blazer + Pink Pants

Leopard print blazers are selling off fast everywhere and the available ones are just a bit on the steep side when it comes to price like this beautiful structured piece here. If you like the leopard print blazer trend for fall, you might want to do some smart shopping on sites like ebay or etsy. I scored the one I am wearing here at a thrift store years ago. Like I have said on this blog before; I love thrifting for blazers and actually have them in lots of colors and cuts and you can bet I was excited to get out my leopard print blazers for this season; yes, there are a couple of them. And I tell you, it can save you a lot of money and you get unique and vintage pieces. Another place to shop for used quality pieces is on app like Tradesy, Real-Real and Poshmark. I actually signed up on Poshmark a couple of months ago to sell some of my pieces that don't fit anymore but I'm yet to be active on the site. I'll let you know how that goes.
