When you think the animal prints trend is fading away, it re-invents itself in a very chic and edgy way. It was all about the leopard prints last fall and then snake prints came into the scene and the trend is going stronger than ever. The snake prints skirt is the new it-trend of the season and I just can't get enough of it because it is so classy and edgy. It is even better when the skirt is in pleats; you know I love me a pleat skirt. This one I'm wearing is from HM and it sold out pretty quickly because the price was super affordable. There is a similar style here but the price is steep. I also love this dress here sans the sleeves. I wish the sleeves was a little more modest.

Why I can't get enough of the Animal Prints trend

Six trendy items to add to your Closet this Winter
Winter is gradually coming to an end or so we hope. Here in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) where I live, winter can stretch way into spring and with the amount of snow we are having right now plus the amount of sub temps days, this might end up being one of our worst winters yet. Nonetheless, it's not too early to start prepping for spring. The first step in doing this is to do a closet overhaul and donating or throwing out items that are no longer needed or useful, then buying those closet essentials that are trendy and affordable to help us stay stylish all through the year. Below are the items I wish to add to my closet this winter and some of the items are great too to give out as gifts to girlfriends, sisters, daughters or Moms. Let's not forget Mothers' day is coming up too.
Snake Print pleated Skirt:
This is a print that is a big trend this season and when you combine it with pleats, nothing can be so edgy or stylish for any fashionista lady. The snake print skirt can be dressed up or down for work and for play and if you need some style inspiration on how to style it for Church or other formal events like weddings, Christenings, check out this post here. The featured skirt in my wish list is from H.M
Colorful Pump:
A good pair of colorful pump in a color of your choice is great for sprucing up your spring and summer wardrobe. If you are one who loves to wear neutral shoes all the time, this might be the time to do something different and by infusing some color into your wardrobe. A colorful pair of shoes elevates an outfit and your style. Check out the featured purple pumps here.

How I re-styled my sequin pencil Skirt
Happy Friday Friends; I hop you are all doing great. This is the second outfit I styled for the new year; a sequin pencil skirt previously worn here as a Christmas holiday outfit. I knew the temperature was going to dip in the week of the new year holiday and I figured styling the sequin mesh skirt with a thick cowl neck sweater and a pair of ankle boots was going to do but nah, the weather was terribly cold and it was minus 2 degrees by New year eve night so I abandoned this outfit after taking pictures of it and wore a black leather pencil skirt, sweater and boots instead similar to what I wore here. My brown ankle boots paired with the sequins skirt was purchased recently after I wrote this post here and my Chloe Bag is a birthday gift. My third outfit that I styled and planned for New year eve is what I would be wearing to Church on Sunday since the weather did not permit it to be worn on New Year's Eve.

Holiday Style: Green Circle Skirt + Plaid
Hi Friends; happy last day of the year or happy New Year’s Eve. We all know that the Christmas holiday is over so I'm sure you are surprised seeing me in a Christmas-color outfit on new year's eve as opposed to sequins and glitter. Do not worry I have my new year's eve outfit picked already for our New Year's eve service in Church later tonight. This outfit is what I wore to church yesterday; the last Sunday of the year. I decided to go in these colors to remind myself that Christmas celebration really should be everyday. The reason for the celebration of the holiday is to remind us of the birth of our savior Jesus Christ who came to earth in human form, born of holy conception and died on the cross and resurrected three days later to give us the gift of salvation. It's just an awesome feeling to be reminded of this truth everyday of the year and I hope you believe and have faith in redemption too.

How to Style for work︱Fashion Inspiration
**Set adapted from @Styleboardcrea_**
The prairie dress or vintage dress (sometimes called the tea dress) is a huge trend this fall and I am loving it. These dresses that used to be regarded as matronly or too prude are now very chic and edgy. The dresses are usually high necked, sometimes smocked or ruffled and can be midi or maxi dresses. This Gap dress here is a prairie dress but it is listed as a midi dress on the site. I'm also loving this J.Crew olive color ruffle sweater dress which is a kind of modern twist on the prairie dress trend. The color is great for fall and the style would be flattering on most body types. This leopard print midi dress is also very cute and edgy but the price is quite steep unless you don't mind splurging on labels 😊 I think this fall dress trend is a carryover from those gorgeous ruffle midi and maxi dresses that were a huge trend this past summer.

The right floral dress to wear in the fall
If you are like me, you own a couple of floral dresses that you would like to wear the whole year through and thanks to layering, you can wear your floral dresses throughout the year. However, not all floral dresses are suited for fall. The tip to wearing floral dresses in the fall is to wear floral dresses in dark hues or earthly colors like brown, burgundy, rust, orange, grey, mustard, emerald green....some of these colors are in my floral dress which I purchased on sale from Target during the summer. Bold colors like red and blue can also be suitable for fall. I am loving this blue maxi dress here. Once you have the right floral dress picked out based on the shade or color, you just style it with the temperature or weather in mind.

Green Velvet mini dress
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas celebration. Mine was very beautiful; great time spent with family. My family means so much to me and I'm grateful to God for bestowing his blessings on me. My little boy turned four on Christmas day too and it was a double celebration in my home. I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas celebration and that you understand that Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. I am thank-ful for everyone that has been reading this blog all these years and I say
