Green Velvet mini dress

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas celebration. Mine was very beautiful; great time spent with family. My family means so much to me and I'm grateful to God for bestowing his blessings on me. My little boy turned four on Christmas day too and it was a double celebration in my home. I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas celebration and that you understand that Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. I am thank-ful for everyone that has been reading this blog all these years and I say
a big "Thank-you."

Now, unto this outfit; I purchased this green velvet dress from H&M a few weeks ago when they had a big sale online. I was on the hunt for a green velvet dress and when it popped up on my computer for less than twenty bucks, I ordered it. However, I got a big shock when the dress got to me a few days later. It was way shorter than I had imagined and the back was open with a key-hole neck line. I guess I did not pay enough attention to the description of the dress online; definitely one of the major disadvantage of online-shopping. Since the dress was very cheap, I chose not to do any return made it work by using  accessories. I put on a sleeveless sequin tank top underneath to cover the back and a pair of black stockings.  My vintage clutch blogged about here and green JCrew earrings completed the look. I love the velvet trend but I have a feeling it is not going to stick around for so long. Also, I'm glad I do not have to splurge to get in on this trend. Happy new year in advance and thanks for stopping by here 😙

Isaiah 9:6-7

6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end. Upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgement and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Thanks so much for stopping by
