White leopard prints blazer + Black Pants
Leopard prints blazers can make our work style to stand out this fall. Yes, the prints do not belong to street style alone. The styling tip is to make sure the blazer is of a good fit and well structured and pairing it with neutrals or toned down accessories would work for any work place. For this look, I layered my leopard prints blazer with a white turtle neck top and paired it with a black color wide legged pants and a pair of black pumps. Now this white color leopard prints blazer is a thrifted piece which I got for less than $10 years ago (remember I said in an earlier post that I have a large stash of thrifted blazers?) This particular piece is a HM brand and it's a size smaller than my usual size but I purchased it because of its unusual color and it's very well made and of good quality. I tried to find the blazer online afterwards in order to get a larger size but it was sold out everywhere. Presently that leopard prints is trending, a similar blazer will cost you hundreds of dollars in big brand stores. J. Crew had a similar blazer for about $180 which sold out as soon as it hit the stores. I was able to find a blazer in somewhat similar prints for less than $30 at Walmart and you can check it out if you are interested in this look. Thanks a lot for stopping by.

Plaid Blazer + Belt Bag
Happy Monday; I hope your week started off great. My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives at the Pittsburg Synagogue shooting; such a senseless act. There is so much wickedness and evil spewing out of people these days but we cannot sit down and let it thrive. We have to double up on our love to counteract all the negativity. We should love on people, help people in times of need and pray; pray for ourselves and others. And off course, we have to give money too to help those in need. When you know God has blessed you or placed you somewhere where you know you can give a helping hand, go ahead and help.

Leopard Prints Blazer + Pink Pants
Leopard print blazers are selling off fast everywhere and the available ones are just a bit on the steep side when it comes to price like this beautiful structured piece here. If you like the leopard print blazer trend for fall, you might want to do some smart shopping on sites like ebay or etsy. I scored the one I am wearing here at a thrift store years ago. Like I have said on this blog before; I love thrifting for blazers and actually have them in lots of colors and cuts and you can bet I was excited to get out my leopard print blazers for this season; yes, there are a couple of them. And I tell you, it can save you a lot of money and you get unique and vintage pieces. Another place to shop for used quality pieces is on app like Tradesy, Real-Real and Poshmark. I actually signed up on Poshmark a couple of months ago to sell some of my pieces that don't fit anymore but I'm yet to be active on the site. I'll let you know how that goes. If you are on Poshmark, let me know in the comment and I'll connect with you.

How to Style for work︱Fashion Inspiration
**Set adapted from @Styleboardcrea_**
The prairie dress or vintage dress (sometimes called the tea dress) is a huge trend this fall and I am loving it. These dresses that used to be regarded as matronly or too prude are now very chic and edgy. The dresses are usually high necked, sometimes smocked or ruffled and can be midi or maxi dresses. This Gap dress here is a prairie dress but it is listed as a midi dress on the site. I'm also loving this J.Crew olive color ruffle sweater dress which is a kind of modern twist on the prairie dress trend. The color is great for fall and the style would be flattering on most body types. This leopard print midi dress is also very cute and edgy but the price is quite steep unless you don't mind splurging on labels 😊 I think this fall dress trend is a carryover from those gorgeous ruffle midi and maxi dresses that were a huge trend this past summer.

Polka dots Blouse + Denim
Happy first day of summer; woot! woot!! 😆 So, now maybe our Minnesota weather would start to behave and give us not-too warm, sunny beautiful days. I decided to celebrate the first day of summer by wearing this polka dot bubble sleeve top from LOFT which has since sold out. The yellow or mustard color of the blouse was an instant shopper's favorite but most ladies including yours sincerely here hate the boxy shape of the blouse. It just adds about 5 pounds to your initial size 😒 It would have been more stylish if the blouse was fitted. After reading the reviews about the blouse, I went a size down like most shoppers suggested but it didn't help much. However, this design and fit miscalculation did not stop the blouse from selling out fast. You might be able to find one on e-bay or Poshmark or if you like the yellow polka dots print but in a different style you can check out my other option in the link below where I also linked similar style and accessories. To a great summer 😂

How to Style: Plaid Prints
While we are still on the current "Plaid" trend, this post here is to give some styling inspiration on how to incorporate this trend to work wear and also to cute casual wear which I choose to call "play" in this post. It is not just okay to wear a trend because everyone is wearing it. You have to stand out in whatever you wear, not look like everyone else as if you attend a uniform boarding school. To get started, consider the following points.
- First of all, get your (plaid) items in affordable but good quality styles: It's a "trend" and "trends" come and go. You do not want to splurge on a trend that you would be embarrassed to wear when it is no longer in season. There are so many stores like Asos, H&M, Zara, JCrew, Miss Selfridge, Loft, Ann Taylor...that would roll out the current runway trends for more affordable price without losing the quality of their brand.
- Secondly, separate your items or clothing piece for work and play: If you take a look at the plaid (and sometimes gingham) clothing pieces out there in the stores, you would realize that not all of them are work appropriate and vice versa. That cute off the shoulder top or ruffled top and skirt might be more appropriate for a casual outing than to work. So, make sure you are able to separate your plaid pieces like that. And if you purchase a piece that you think you can style for work and play, surely, the accessories would be different for both occasion. So, separate the shoes and accessories you intend to use for the separate styling.
When you are done with the two tips above, you definitely would be ready to own your style. And if you are still in doubt on how to separate your plaid for work and play, just use this simple tip; "Keep the light and happy colors for
