Shopping my Closet for holiday style

               ᒧ'm going to make this post very short because I have so much to do; some last minute shopping, gift wrapping and menu planning. We always have a Christmas party in my home every year because my little one was born on Christmas day six years ago and the double celebration; my son's birthday and remembrance and commemoration/celebration of Jesus Christ's birth, just makes this season so much special for us. If you lived in my city, I would invite you to the party, haha! 😁

Shopping for sustainable fashion: Velvet Pantsuit

          Fashion is taking a new meaning in 2020 at least here in my neck of the woods. It is definitely going to be more sustainable and thrifty than ever before on here. If you have read this blog for years, you would know that I have always loved thrifting mainly because of the unique pieces and style you can achieve with a curated thrift wardrobe. My holiday style this year is a big reflection of this and here I am sharing this vintage looking pantsuit.

Vintage Styling: Floral Sequin blouse + Red circle Skirt

          ᐺintage is where most things are going for me in the near future especially when it comes to fashion. I got this vintage looking sequin blouse from a thrift/consignment store in my neighborhood last year and previously styled it here. I was drawn to the many colors and sparkles that emanated from it while it was hanging on the rack.The sequin blouse is a statement piece because  of the colorful floral patterns or prints on it. I got it out again this season and paired it with this red circle skirt I got from Chicwish years ago when circle skirts and midi skirts were on trend. Well, it's 2019 and my skirt is still on trend for me...haha! 😂

Veering into Vintage

⺄t's been a while on here; it's been ages...haha! 😆 How has everyone been? Did anyone think for a minute that I was done with fashion blogging? I hope not! 😂 It's exactly four months and a few days since I published a blog post. I have been so busy behind the scenes. I had a very beautiful summer which culminated in a four day trip to Disney Land with the hubby and kiddos on the last week of summer, days before labor day.

Grey Sweater Dress + Green trench Coat

Happy Monday everyone. I hope to make this post as short as possible. I'm wearing a grey color sweater dress and a vintage green color vintage trench coat that has a removable floral lining for extra warmth. I love how the color of the coat just makes the otherwise grey outfit pop. This sweater dress is an old one from the closet purchased from Victorias' Secret years ago. The neckline can be turned into an off-shoulder style; can be worn as a cowl neck and it can also be worn over the head like a hood. I just love the versatility of this sweater dress. I wear it a lot in the winter months and it is so worn now that I think it is finally time to give it a break. I'll only wear it to lounge at home from now onwards. I paired the grey dress with high heeled ankle boots and a black bag; trying to keep it very simple and neutral underneath the green coat.  Lastly, my green and gold tone statement earrings completed the look. If you are asking what I'm thinking; yes, the coat is a thrifted piece from years ago. I think I paid about $15 or $20 dollars for it and then I had it dry cleaned too. I take care of all my winter coats and store them properly because they are not really just fashion pieces for me but essentials. I have a couple of 100 % wool coats that actually cost up to a $1000 for a new piece but I got each of them for under $100 at the thrift and consignment store like the camel coat I wore here and here.  You need to have good warm coats and trench coats if you live in Minneapolis. Hi everyone, I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas celebration. Mine was very beautiful; great time spent with family.
