Shoe Lovin' - Clear floral glitter Pumps

Ͳhe best piece of accessory or fashion item is the one that is so versatile that it can be styled with any look in our closet and is stylish and affordable at the same time. This pearlized glitter pumps from DSW strikes off every item on the versatile accessory list because it's very stylish and chic design makes for a great pairing with any outfit, casual or dressed up. It would go perfectly with most summer outfits because of the neutral colors, lucite accent and floral design. The glitter accent on the pump also makes it a great holiday shoe. This is definitely a winner in my book. Check it out  Here

Shoe Lovin'

I have been loving embellished shoes al lot lately to the extent that I even did some DIY on a couple of my pumps like the one I wore in this post here. So, when I saw this black embellished pumps on the Nordstrom website, it was pretty much love at first sight. I love the combination of faux silver and cymbals embellishment and this would look great paired with denim and a white tee or paired with an all black outfit. If you want to check out the pumps, they come in two other colors; blush suede and lilac suede here.

White leopard prints blazer + Black Pants

Leopard prints blazers can make our work style to stand out this fall. Yes, the prints do not belong to street style alone. The styling tip is to make sure the blazer is of a good fit and well structured and pairing it with neutrals or toned down accessories would work for any work place. For this look, I layered my leopard prints blazer with a white turtle neck top and paired it with a black color wide legged pants and a pair of black pumps. Now this white color leopard prints blazer is a thrifted piece which I got for less than $10 years ago (remember I said in an earlier post that I have a large stash of thrifted blazers?) This particular piece is a HM brand and it's a size smaller than my usual size but I purchased it because of its unusual color and it's very well made and of good quality. I tried to find the blazer online afterwards in order to get a larger size but it was sold out everywhere. Presently that leopard prints is trending, a similar blazer will cost you hundreds of dollars in big brand stores. J. Crew had a similar blazer for about $180 which sold out as soon as it hit the stores. I was able to find a blazer in somewhat similar prints for less than $30 at Walmart and you can check it out if you are interested in this look. Thanks a lot for stopping by.

Neon Suit + Graphic Tee

Neon green is a color that is out there more than ever this fall. This look is a throwback to this neon suit and graphic tee previously blogged about here. The cropped neon green denim pants was purchased from Victorias' Secret catalogue years ago including the animal prints pump while the graphic tee was purchased from Forever 21. The blazer is an old thrift and the color is not a perfect match to the pants but the shades are similar enough for the outfit to work. I needed to break up the bold color of the suit by layering a white tee underneath and needed something to complement my shoe. A grey color satin clutch completed the look. If you want to re-create this look, you can check out the shopping information below.

Mixed Leopard Prints Style

Leopard prints and snake prints just won't stop this season and that's okay by me; that means, I'm able to wear every piece in my closet. The two pieces in this outfit have been in my closet for years; I wore them a lot years ago when I was obsessed with leopard prints and the prints was also a thing then but the trend went away and I do not know why I never really donated these pieces. Check out other ways I styled this skirt in previous blog posts here and here. I actually got inspiration for this particular look from online and I knew I wanted to try it. Although mixing leopard prints can be overwhelming, you can balance out the look by using neutral accessories to complete the look. If you are interested in this mixed prints leopard prints style and want to check out some pieces, I have linked some for you. I'm so excited because my birthday is a couple of hours away; woot! woot!! 😄

Work Style: Ivory + Brown

Ivory or white and brown has been one of my favorite color pairings this season. Here I am wearing an ivory blouse paired with a tweed brown color A-line skirt. The tweed skirt is more or less a cold weather staple but I made the outfit summer worthy by accessorizing with floral embellished pumps in a nude color to match the color tone of the outfit. My vintage leather bag completed the look. Thanks for viewing.

one more way to style denim on denim

Happy Tuesday everyone 😆 I hope the week started off great for you; mine has been beautiful so far. This is a quick post to show another way the denim on denim trend can be styled. I admit it is somewhat an outdated trend or let's just say it is a trend that never gets out of style but rather just stays in the background to be picked up anytime. So, I was styling this pastel look for the blog and I got out this denim pumps I have not worn in a while. I paired it with this color block tan sweater that I purchased from Loft a while back and ankle denim pants. the first choice would have been to pair tan color pumps with this outfit but the denim pumps added some interest to it. if you are tired of the

Mauve color top + Burgundy Culottes

Hi everyone 😚 I hope you all had a wonderful week. It's Friday! woot!! woot!!! I'm going to make this post very short. So, I wore this outfit in the fall and I'm just blogging about it now. Although the color palette is more suited for fall especially the burgundy color culottes, the outfit still works for this Spring. I'm sure you all know by now that pastels are a huge trend this spring. Well, I got the mauve color top and culottes pant from Loft a while back and it's actually my first pair of culottes. I was a little skeptical of the trend and was not sure if it would be right for me but I later fell in love with it and I am glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. Culottes are easy breezy and super fun.

The pairing of the mauve top and burgundy culottes was a hit for me. I feel like the two colors exude joy and playfulness. . The two colors also go well together in a somewhat monochrome look. If you do not like or enjoy wearing pink colors, the color mauve

Shoe Lovin' - Fall themed Pump

I "looveee" pumps! Pumps are just the best thing ever to happen to women in my opinion when it comes to Fashion. I do love sandals, mules and slides too but my love for pumps is deep! 😇 This is why I put up this post "Shoe Loving" every once in a while to showcase any new affordable pump or style that caught my eye in the season. I try to modify this post every now and then to include sandals and mules and I would continue to include more styles in the future.

Having said that, I saw this beautiful pair  of pumps recently on line and I just fell in love with the contrasting colors that pays a huge homage to the Fall season. It definitely looks like a dupe of thhigher end Gianvito Rossi Pumps here and though I haven't

Plaid Paper bag Pants + a Sweater

Happy Monday Friends 😙 So, this is just a quick work wear post of one of my favorite colors to wear in the Fall; grey. This time, I decided to style the color in two of the season's trends; plaid prints and paper-bag pants. I always like it when I can fit two trends seamlessly into an outfit effortlessly. When done right, it gives a very clean and polished look. If you get the styling wrong, there is that perception that you are trying too hard or as some would call it, you are a "trend...wh--e" or "label...wh--e;" without spelling out the whole word. The trick to achieving this look (two-trends-in-one) starts right from when you do your shopping. Always look out for that piece that can serve multiple functions or that accessory that can be styled in different ways. When you get that one piece

Hi Friends, I'm just going to make this post as short as it can be because I have had such a busy week. I'm spending a lot of time with the family these days especially the kids; helping with homework, volunteering at their school. I have not been able to adjust my time accordingly; something I used to be

Ditching the Monday Blues

Say it is Monday!! Can I get a woot! woot!! Oh, is that reserved for Fridays alone? Mondays do not have to be boring. The best way to start a great week aside from getting a spiritual boost by attending Church on Sunday and giving the week to God by Faith, is to start the week slaying! Yeah, you heard me!..Lol. Apart from dressing being a form of good manners according to the famous quote by Tom Ford, dressing up does elevate our moods too and for most women, you get a burst of confidence when you make an effort to look your best.

The outfit sets in this post "is" a dose of inspiration and motivation for a stylish new week. I threw in some shades of cobalt blue in each set to help slay the Monday even more. Ditch the Monday blues by stepping up your style game and stepping into work or school looking your best. Have a great week Fashionistas and wishing you a "Happy thanksgiving week" if you reside in the great United States.

Blue is Cool

It is Fall though we do not feel the effects yet in my state of Minnesota; maybe this weekend when it is predicted we might have some snow. Fall colors are usually rich tones of brown, mustard, burgundy, camo, emerald....well, I decided to throw in some cobalt blue colors last Sunday which really can be a Fall color too. Have you been seeing those beautiful cobalt blue velvet shoes and boots in the store?

My cobalt blue blazer paired over a graphic print pencil skirt was my church outfit last Sunday. I threw in my nude pumps to tone down the blue colors and with the beautiful blue skies  above me, I had a beautiful awesome day. I hope you are enjoying beautiful weather wherever you are...:-)

Five Essential pumps for Work

Classic Pumps for Work

So, it is Work wear Monday and the topic for discussion on the blog today is; "Work shoes" with emphasis on pumps. It is very important for the working lady to build a classy shoe wardrobe because shoes do elevate an outfit. When picking the right shoes for work, comfort and style should be of great consideration and then comes color. The classic nudes which you can find in various shades and animal prints are great neutrals for work.

Variation in style from the classic pumps would be the sling backs and the Mary-Janes and since comfort cannot be over emphasized, flats should not be ruled out. Your level of comfort in shoes depends on your tolerance with heel heights but you can always relax at work when you have a cute pair of flats stored somewhere under your desk or in your purse for those times when your feet need a break. If high heel pumps are not your shoes of choice for work, then you have to have a nice array of comfortable flats.

In order for work flats not to appear too frumpy and casual for work, go for nice details on the flats like bows and cute silhouette or shapes like pointed toe pumps and most importantly, comfortable soles because flats can sometimes be as uncomfortable as heels. If you are the type that goes to work out in the gym directly after work, then ensure your work-out shoes are as comfy and chic as your work/office shoes because you never know when you'll run into a client or co-worker after work hours. So, ladies do you have a comfy, classy and chic "shoes closet" for work? If no, it might just be time to do some closet editing and shopping.

Pom-Pom shoes have been trending for a while now; since last Fall actually and it seems like they are here to stay. Designers adorn different kind of shoes with these fluffy accessories and they come in different shapes and sizes. I like the fact that they are so girly and fun however, we need to be careful when styling pom-pom shoes with outfits because they can make an outfit go quickly from chic to tacky. Above are some designs that I really like and the Aquazzura pair is my favorite but the price is really steep. Is this a trend you would enjoy seeing through the summer?
