Eight ways I have styled my red wide leg Pants

My red wide leg pants is definitely one of my closet staples. I have had this pair for years; purchased years ago from the Victorias Secret Body by Victoria Collection. The pants was a splurge at the time but it has proven its worth over time; its quality and fit is impeccable. It proves that though affordable fashion is ideal, we have to ensure too that we are buying quality pieces no matter how cheap, affordable or expensive an item is. The overall quality is what should determine where we put our money. Some items can be expensive but the quality might not be great like some designer items; in some cases, consumers are just paying for the designer label rather than the quality of the item itself. And in other cases, some fashion items are cheap or very affordable and their quality is good and matches the price; meaning you actually get what you paid for.

"One of my goals this year is to make sure I invest in quality; this means quality time spent in doing things of great meaning or good cause, quality relationship with family and friends, quality time spent in devotion, meditation and things and activities that promote the overall quality of life."

White leopard prints blazer + Black Pants

Leopard prints blazers can make our work style to stand out this fall. Yes, the prints do not belong to street style alone. The styling tip is to make sure the blazer is of a good fit and well structured and pairing it with neutrals or toned down accessories would work for any work place. For this look, I layered my leopard prints blazer with a white turtle neck top and paired it with a black color wide legged pants and a pair of black pumps. Now this white color leopard prints blazer is a thrifted piece which I got for less than $10 years ago (remember I said in an earlier post that I have a large stash of thrifted blazers?) This particular piece is a HM brand and it's a size smaller than my usual size but I purchased it because of its unusual color and it's very well made and of good quality. I tried to find the blazer online afterwards in order to get a larger size but it was sold out everywhere. Presently that leopard prints is trending, a similar blazer will cost you hundreds of dollars in big brand stores. J. Crew had a similar blazer for about $180 which sold out as soon as it hit the stores. I was able to find a blazer in somewhat similar prints for less than $30 at Walmart and you can check it out if you are interested in this look. Thanks a lot for stopping by.

Summer color-blocking: Mint + White

I am sharing one of my favorite color block style for the summer; mint and white. I have had this ruffle blouse for years; an old purchase from T. J. Maxx. I love the color of the top but the crinkly fabric, I don't like so much. It creates a puckered shape in front that makes me look like I am bloated so I really don't like the top that much. I'm currently loving this luxury piece here. I like to pair it the top with my white color wide legged pants as I did in this post. It is a simple outfit I wear to very casual events. I admit I needed a third color to amp up the outfit and yellow, purple or magenta would have just been fine. I could not find my yellow drop earrings so I opted for the gold bracelet instead. Any color pairs well with white really and the third color just brings everything home.
