The reason you need a sequin top every holiday season

Every holiday season, retailers release sequin outfits; dresses, skirts and tops that sell really fast even before they hit the store shelves. Ladies buy these pieces at exorbitant price only to throw them at the back of the closet after the holiday because sequin pieces are usually not every day wear. My approach has always been to purchase one top or blouse that can be styled over and over.

A sequin top or blouse can be styled multiple ways; as a layered piece underneath a blazer or pantsuit, as a top over a skirt or pants and if the top is long enough, you can style it as a dress over leggings or tights for a casual party. A full blown sequin dress on the other hand is usually a one time and done affair and unless you can get an affordable one on sale or pre loved, I would just stick to the sequin top idea; this way, you always have that one top in your closet to style every holiday season.

This sequin blouse is a thrifted piece that I purchased years ago from my neighborhood thrift and consignment store and I have styled it multiple times for the holiday season; previously styled here and here. This time around, I put a casual spin on this floral sequin blouse. Thanks so much for reading.
