It is the season to wear plaid

 

     There is something about cold weather and plaid for me that I really cannot explain. When the temperature starts to drop at the start of the fall/autumn season, I get the longing to add this particular print to my wardrobe. The entrance of the shirt jacket "aka" Shacket (Shirt-Jacket) into the fashion scene this season, is another reason why I love this print. If you must know, the shirt jacket has been around for ages as men's wear and it slowly got into women's fashion recently. I loved this H&M piece a lot but it quickly sold out and since I really wanted to try out the trend, I decided to go thrifting for it and sure enough, I found a few pieces to add to my wardrobe this season.

Reddy for Christmas: The red Pantsuit

                   ᘓhristmas is here and it's my most beautiful and miraculous time of the year. When I look around, I see all these beautiful colors of red, greens, gold and lots of sparkle that instantly lift my mood. This must be why a red or green outfit is a no brainer for this season. There are lots of beautiful dresses; solids, sequins, tulle, glitter...that reflects the Christmas holiday season but then, have you thought of the Pantsuit as an alternative to a dress for a holiday outfit? Faux Fur Outfit Inspiration for the Christmas Season

            ᒣ love faux fur a lot and I don't know if it is because I live in a very cold state but there's just something about faux fur pieces in the winter time that is comforting for me.  I love to drape faux fur shawls and stoles around my neck in the winter time for some extra warmth as seen here  and here  and it also adds pops of color  to my outfits. I think I have faux fur stole in almost every color and fur do not have to be real fur to make your outfit more chic or to make a statement. Flashback to my Christmas Outfit and reliving the joy of the Season.

A little black dress is a wardrobe essential for every lady and it gets better when it is a lace dress. This is a flashback look to my Christmas outfit and it was an outfit I put together last minute. I purchased this fit and flare lace dress from J. Crew years ago and wore it for my birthday celebration and blogged about it here. I got it out of the closet last Christmas and restyled it by layering a white blazer over it. The black stockings was needed for some warmth and I thought the dress needed some definition in the waist so I cinched my waist with this embellished  Asos belt that has since sold out  and this option here is also cute if you want to check it out. I love the sparkle the belt gives to the black lace dress. My red beret and red plaid pumps were the seasonal accents to the look and to make the outfit more interesting, I added a metallic clutch. I shared a glimpse of the outfit on my instagram here on Christmas day and just decided to do a full blog post on the simple but special outfit today.


I really do not mind musing over this holiday outfit because it brings so much joy to my soul. I wish everyday was Christmas really. The Christmas holiday and season is the best ever and the fact that it is the celebration of Christ's birth is just so awesome. I pray that we continually re-live the season and to allow the love and grace of Christmas to fill us each day as we go about our daily business. 


Let us share the joy of the season and never let our hearts forget that Jesus Christ was born in a human form on this earth thousands of years ago to earthly parents, Joseph and Mary. He performed lots of miracles and preached about God's love and promise of redemption and of eternal life before He died as was prophesied by the prophets of the old Testament in the Bible. Cold weather style: Burgundy Coat + Faux fur Stole

Happy Monday everyone  😃 It's been very cold and cloudy in my city but we are starting to warm up a little too. In the past days (since after the new year) I have been in long coats and boots. The burgundy coat I am wearing here is one of my favorites that I have had for several years now and these pics were taken the Sunday I wore this outfit to Church. The weather was super cold but I made up my mind to dress up in beautiful colors reminiscent of the season and my burgundy long coat which I thrifted from the consignment store years ago elevated the simple look I had on. Happy Friday friends; I was surfing the web recently and discovered this beautiful plaid pump from Liliana.
