Happy Saturday Friends; so what are you up to? Are you ready for a vacation yet? I know I am but since I do not have one planned out yet, I'll be enjoying my lovely "staycation" this weekend. This casual outfit is exactly what I would love to wear for the perfect trip; whether by road or by air. The weather was a bit chilly yesterday when I wore this pink dress so the mock turtle neck was just right as it would be if  I was flying first class to Cancun; haha! 😂  Okay, day dreaming aside...

Floral dress + Tulle

Happy Thursday 😆 Mother's day is around the corner and it's that time of the year again for mothers to get that special attention that they actually deserve every single day because of all that they do. Since today is Thursday, I'm doing a throwback Thursday look to this dress I wore last year for Father's day! haha!! 😝 Yeah, I said Father's day. One of my friends had a surprise birthday party for her husband on Father's day last year and this is what I wore; this floral and tulle midi dress. The dress is a dupe or more affordable version of this MARCHESA dress here and I loved it so much when I saw it online that I bought it in two colors. I would be wearing the second dress this upcoming Mother's day and will do a blog post on it too. This is the navy blue version of the dress. Can you guess what the color of the other dress is?


You see, I got my Mothers' day dress since last year because the site had a sale and I wanted to get the most bargain and that is really what Mothers do all the time. We try to get the most discounts to help our hubbies and Families get the best in life. We are up early taking care of the kids and our various households. Even those ladies that are single, choose to be single. not yet married....are still strong women doing the most they can in the role that God has bestowed on them as women. Please, take a minute to pause and take care of yourself Ladies. And a very big  "Happy Mothers' day" to you all.

Spring trend: Pastels

So, "Pastels" is a huge trend this spring and just to refresh our memory; Wikipedia defines Pastels as; "Colors that are desaturated or washed out and lacking strong chromatic content. They are usually very soft and include almost all neutral colors, pink, baby blues and light blues, mauve, lilac, light browns, khakis, yellow, creams..." you get the idea. To tell you the truth, the pastels rave is so big this season with stylists putting their different twists on it and I had to google it for myself to make sure I really got it right;  then I went in my closet and did some editing and this is the first of the pastel outfits I am styling for spring here on the blog.

 Mother's day is just a few days away and if you are still in doubt of what gifts to give that special Mom in your life, here are a few options to consider that are affordable and thoughtful at the same time. The first option is always flowers and a greeting card either handmade or industrial with a heartfelt message of love and appreciation. We cannot put value on all the things our parents (especially Mom) did for us but we can continue to say thank-you every now and then with every little gift or gesture we can provide. After the flowers come the dainty gifts; jewelry, fragrance, bags, shoes and even cash or gift cards to spas, for dinning, house cleaning...just name it. there is practically a gift card for most services

I promise this would be my last cold weather outfit inspiration on here for this season; haha! 😅  It is all about transition outfits for me presently. This is the right time to get out all the sleeveless coats, vests, shirt dresses, dusters, kimonos...just name it. Personally, I would not jump straight from winter apparel to spring apparel just like that. I have got to prepare my body and soul to slowly adjust to the change in temperature and/or weather. Lilac color is trending this spring and clothes, accessories and even beauty products are sporting this color. We know pastels are generally popular in the spring time but lilac is just in a special class of its own this season. I do not own a pair yet but if I were to get into the lilac shoe trend, I would definitely purchase a pair that is of good quality but not so expensive. You never know; the trend might not extend into the summer and if you buy an expensive pair, it would just lay waste in your closet. In my opinion, such a waste is not acceptable.

Summer chic bags and how to style them

The clear plastic bag or tote also known as the PVC  bag or the  Lucite bag has been trending since last winter. They are very edgy and chic and can go with any outfit dressed up or dressed down. The handbags have more of a stylish perception than functionality. 'Come to think of it, we own bags so we can store our intimate items and basic necessities like keys, make-up, toiletries and personal knic-knacks in them. When a bag loses this basic function, it stimulates our thinking which is the whole essence of this trend. It is just edgy and chic and no one dare question why you have to have another bag within a bag! haha!! 😶



If you are able to afford this bag, you should be able to afford a beautiful little clutch or wallet to store your things in that you can then put in the bag 😅 Just sincerely here, (Moi...*eyes rolling*) is just reporting on the latest summer bag trends by the way and please, do not mind my sarcasm. Mauve color top + Burgundy Culottes

Hi everyone 😚 I hope you all had a wonderful week. It's Friday! woot!! woot!!! I'm going to make this post very short. So, I wore this outfit in the fall and I'm just blogging about it now. Although the color palette is more suited for fall especially the burgundy color culottes, the outfit still works for this Spring. I'm sure you all know by now that pastels are a huge trend this spring. Well, I got the mauve color top and culottes pant from Loft a while back and it's actually my first pair of culottes. I was a little skeptical of the trend and was not sure if it would be right for me but I later fell in love with it and I am glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. Culottes are easy breezy and super fun.



The pairing of the mauve top and burgundy culottes was a hit for me. I feel like the two colors exude joy and playfulness. . The two colors also go well together in a somewhat monochrome look. If you do not like or enjoy wearing pink colors, the color mauve

Camel color coat + black ankle boots.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for stopping by here. I hope the weather is nice and beautiful wherever you are. I wore this outfit to Church a couple of months ago when the weather gave us a break. The black dress underneath my coat is an old purchase from Zara and I believe I have blogged about it before. The fabric of the dress is rich and durable and it is very comfy. Since the dress is sleeveless, I had my coat on the entire time in Church and I was warm and cozy. The only thing missing from this outfit is a pair of stockings but I chose to forgo it.



This camel color coat here is actually the statement piece in this outfit and believe me when I say a camel color coat is an essential piece in every lady's closet especially when you live in a cold state like I do. A good quality camel color coat is usually very expensive and they sell out very fast because they can be investment pieces. I scored this one from a consignment shop years ago and had it dry cleaned. I remember writing a blog post on how to acquire a good statement coat collection somewhere on the blog. I would
