        We are almost in the dog days of summer, and the stores are in the process of changing out their inventory to Fall hence the sales and discounts that are going on presently. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale might be the most popular one but do not overlook stores like H&M. I was at a store recently and found some great pieces on sale and wanted to share some favorites that I put on my wish list on the blog.

Winter Shopping List

               ᒎ know winter is almost over and spring is around the corner but for me, the two seasons kind of merge as one because we do get snow in my state till April. So, it's not too late to do a winter wish list. I love to plan and list my needed items some place where I can see them and I love making the list as colorful and fun as I can. For this season, I need a colorful puffy coat preferably a red color one because the color is so fun and bold. Puffy coats are also a big trend this season and we would see the trend even into the spring season.  Combat boots is another huge trend this season and a very functional one at that. DIY Belt Bag

Belt bags are here to stay it seems. This trend burst into the scene in the spring of 2017 and I never thought it was going to be around this long judging from the love-hate relationship I had with it at the beginning; check out the blog post I did here. This spring, the belt bag trend is still very strong and if you like the trend; now, is the time to invest in a good piece. You know, my tip for indulging in any trend is to tread lightly; never adopt or splurge on a trend if you are not sure how long it will be around for. This is the reason, I decided to DIY my belt bag in this post here. And this post is just a summary of how I turned my mini quilt bag into a belt bag or waist bag. I hope you enjoy the simple instructions below.

Fall bag trend: The Crochet Bag

The Bag is the number one lady accessory that has evolved a lot over the years. There are so many designs and creations of it that it is hard to keep up sometimes. In previous years, the popular bag designs were the purse, the tote, the handbag and a few other variations. These days, we have the bucket bags, the saddle bags, the cross body bags, the straw bags, basket bags, belt bags...just to name a few. All kinds of women bags are now in the mainstream of fashion. This fall, the straw bag would still be a huge trend in all its variations but mostly in the bucket form and in dark hues as well. However, the bag that is set to take over the straw bag for fall is the "Crochet bag." This is the handwoven crochet or knitted style of  bags. The famous bag designer Cult Gaia who designed the popular summer Ark bag has designed this beautiful woven master piece here. There are so many variations of the crochet bag in the store as has been over the last seasons; it is just that they will become more popular this fall in my humble prediction. Etsy also has a wide selection of crochet bags from very talented artisans. Styling these bags would be very easy as they go with knits and warm sweaters and clothing that is already associated with the fall season. Happy styling.

Shopping for Clear Bags

Now that summer is gradually coming to an end, it is time to do some closet editing. How about we start by switching out summer accessories before piling on Fall layers. I know clear bags or PVC bags or transparent bags as they are called have been around all summer but it is not going anywhere anytime soon. It is a style of bag that is going to trend right through the Fall and Winter season. How appropriate too; after all, it would be the most functional bag to have on snowy, wet days. In an earlier post here, I talked about doing another post to share shopping information about any affordable clear bags I could find. I finally found very good quality clear bags on the Shein Website. Just compare spending $195 on this STAUD PVC clear bag to spending $13 on this Shein clear bag. It is obvious that one is a designer luxury piece and the other is not but hey! trends come and go and there is no need splurging on a piece that might go out of style after a season. I checked out the selections available on Shein and ordered a few because they are so, so affordable and I can really tell you that the quality of the bags are great for the price; (that is, the price matches the quality) because I got my orders already. This is the first time I shopped at this site and I intend to go back to buy one or two clothing pieces in order to check out the sizing and quality. Straw Clutches

                                        The new trend in small bags

There is a new trend in bags and you would see them a lot this summer. They are the very mini version of the straw bags we were toting everywhere last summer. They sometimes come with those playful adornments like tassels, pompoms and graphics and some just look like regular clutches with buckles and clasps and they can be printed and colorful. However, you only need to take one look at them to be able to tell right away, that they are organic bags. Summer chic bags and how to style them

The clear plastic bag or tote also known as the PVC  bag or the  Lucite bag has been trending since last winter. They are very edgy and chic and can go with any outfit dressed up or dressed down. The handbags have more of a stylish perception than functionality. 'Come to think of it, we own bags so we can store our intimate items and basic necessities like keys, make-up, toiletries and personal knic-knacks in them. When a bag loses this basic function, it stimulates our thinking which is the whole essence of this trend. It is just edgy and chic and no one dare question why you have to have another bag within a bag! haha!! 😶



If you are able to afford this bag, you should be able to afford a beautiful little clutch or wallet to store your things in that you can then put in the bag 😅 Just sincerely here, (Moi...*eyes rolling*) is just reporting on the latest summer bag trends by the way and please, do not mind my sarcasm.
