Yellow Trench Coat + Metallic Mules

Happy Monday Friends 😃 It's been a while on here. I hope you are doing great. If you are reading this right now, I really do appreciate you for stopping by here in my corner of the internet. I took these pictures on a cold and cloudy evening, and the pictures are not as crisp as I would love them to be, but I decided to post them anyway and that's not new on my blog; nothing is perfect on here and this is real life. The main objective in life is to keep pushing and striving consistently for the best.

Wine color sweater + leather Skirt

These pictures are old pictures I took some time ago when the pandemic was raging hence the mask accessory.  A quick look at my outfit here; I am wearing a burgundy monochrome outfit; wine color sweater, burgundy color pencil skirt and boots. Our spring in Minnesota is cold though not as cold as our winter season and sweaters and boots are still part of my wardrobe pretty much at this time. The boots are from Sole Society. and the bag is my own vintage; an old piece from my closet. Haha! 😀 Thanks for stopping by.

Green Puffer Coat + Black Denim

Ï¸uffer coats made a big resurgence last fall in more dramatic styles and bold colors. I have had this green piece for years now and though it is not big or dramatic in size, it is bold in color. It's a thrifted piece I got years ago and yes, if you have read this blog long enough, you would know by now that a good part of my outerwear which includes blazers and coats and jackets were purchased pre-loved.

Due to the harsh/cold seasons in my state, there is always good inventory of outerwear at our consignment and thrift stores. I threw the jacket over a plain white tee and black denim and completed the look with my worn combat boots and a lucite bag or clear bag. The clear bag is from Shein. Thank you so much for reading.

Pink Trench coat on repeat + Red Shoes

ÔŠow is everyone doing? I hope okay. I'm going to make this post as short as possible. I'm wearing a fitted white long sleeve tee over denim which has become a sort of uniform for me these days. A fitted long sleeve tee is one of the most comfy and chic pieces to elevate a casual outfit in my opinion especially in the spring and fall seasons when the temperatures are low.

I completed the look with my white pouch bag from Amazon and a pair of red color shoes that looks somewhat like brogues.  Although our weather is warming up, it still requires a light jacket or trench coat. Thank you so much for stopping by here.

one of my favorite knit dresses from Lulus

So, I got this knit dress from Lulus last fall and I really love it. It's soft and comfotable and I love the midi length. It has about three or four rows of buttons at the back that is not featured in these photos. My only problem with the dress is that it is lighter in color than I thought. The pictures on the website showed it as a darker brown color on the model.

How to Style: Camel Coat and Leopard print Slingbacks

Now that Spring is here, it is time to ditch the boots for sandals, open toed shoes and slingbacks. If you need inspiration on how to slowly incorporate these style of shoes into your wardrobe, this outfit inspiration is for you. In the look above, the leopard print slingbacks is the statement piece in the set because it complements the camel coat nicely and still stands on its own. Now if you do not know exactly what slingbacks are, this is a lesson for you. "A slingback is a style of shoes that is closed in front and open at the back and usually with a strap at the back of the shoes. When the back strap is missing, the shoe is referred to as a mule and in some instances as a slide. To make this look wearable for spring, make sure the coat is long but not too long to cover your shoes and you can wear stockings too if you choose but ensure that you wear a pair that is close to your skin tone. Happy styling.

Spring trend: Pastels

So, "Pastels" is a huge trend this spring and just to refresh our memory; Wikipedia defines Pastels as; "Colors that are desaturated or washed out and lacking strong chromatic content. They are usually very soft and include almost all neutral colors, pink, baby blues and light blues, mauve, lilac, light browns, khakis, yellow, creams..." you get the idea. To tell you the truth, the pastels rave is so big this season with stylists putting their different twists on it and I had to google it for myself to make sure I really got it right;  then I went in my closet and did some editing and this is the first of the pastel outfits I am styling for spring here on the blog.

Pink and taupe colors

Hi Everyone 😃 Happy new week. This is just a quick post here. I have been digging into my closet and getting out all my old pieces to wear again whether they are in style or not. I looked into my closet some weeks back and was like; what! so many clothes, I have no idea how they got there...*hehehe* 😜 Well, I've got to do something about my closet pretty soon. I have been exploring the option of selling online too with one of those apps.

Happy Monday Friends; I hope you started off the week in a good start. I started mine at Church yesterday as usual. Since Sunday is the official first day of the week, I enjoy getting dressed and going to Sunday Church Service with my family to offer thanks and prayers to God. I'll share my Sunday look some time in the week. Right now, I'm sharing this look I wore a few days ago. I know they say "No white after Labor day" but hey! Who gets to make all those rules anyway? Well, I'm making my own rules here! 😆

I paired my white button down shirt with my white denim both from JCrew
