Veering into Vintage

t's been a while on here; it's been ages...haha! πŸ˜† How has everyone been? Did anyone think for a minute that I was done with fashion blogging? I hope not! πŸ˜‚ It's exactly four months and a few days since I published a blog post. I have been so busy behind the scenes. I had a very beautiful summer which culminated in a four day trip to Disney Land with the hubby and kiddos on the last week of summer, days before labor day.

I had a blast on my vacation to Florida and I enjoyed every bit of the trip especially the lazy days spent on the beach. Members of my extended family were around for a visit during the summer too and it was just fun, fun every day. My beautiful nieces and nephews were a handful and with two sets of twins in the mix, you can imagine how busy I was. Indeed, time flies when you are having fun. Did I also mention it was my birthday on Halloween? I do not celebrate Halloween though; I had a beautiful dinner date with the family to commemorate my day 😎

Well, I am back now and ready to roll on here but I would be doing things a little different on the blog this time around. I would be sharing more and I mean "more" about sustainable fashion and sharing tips on how to restyle old pieces from our closet rather than pursuing trends and buying new pieces all the time. There would also be more inspirational posts on the home and family.

That being said, I'll share some quick information about this outfit I wore to Church last Sunday. The weather was beautiful so I chose to wear this Ralph Laurent linen trousers which is an old staple from my closet. I really loved the contrast of the bright yellow color of the linen pants against the vintage tie neck blouse from Modcloth. And if you are not familiar with Modcloth, it is an apparel company that specializes in the sale of vintage inspired clothing. I accessorized my outfit with an old vintage purse I thrifted years ago and a pair of boots. As always, a very simple outfit.

  1. Your top is so beautiful. I like the way you paired it with the pants.
