Shoe 'Loving - Pink Mules

Mules are such a huge trend this summer and the bolder or brighter the color, the more beautiful and stylish it is. I love this deep pink pair from Asos It would definitely add a pop of color to any denim outfit and generally elevate any casual style. Mules come in different designs and heel height

Denim Shirtdress + Pom-Pom Sandals

Hi Friends; this is another look on how I do I do casual style; aside from graphic tees and jeans, I totally love denim dresses or in this case, chambray dress. I purchased this from Boohoo a long time back and I love that is very comfy and simple. My only problem with the dress is that it wrinkles really easily and I don't like that. I paired the dress with this bucket bag I purchased from Ann Taylor a few summers ago

Purple Dress and purple sandals

Well, I was the purple lady a while back 😉 I wore this purple monochrome look and completed the look with a black and white floral bag. Purple happens to be my favorite color yet I do not have a lot of purple pieces in my wardrobe. I have owned this dress for years; maybe about eight years...🙈 and I just could not find myself donating it. For one, I am still glad that I can fit into it. So, it is some kind of weight control piece for me; haha! 😛 The day

Gingham Pants and button down shirt

Happy new month; it's June already. Say yes to the beautiful weather we are having now. I wore this outfit a while back and since it is a simple outfit, I'm just going to keep this post simple too. A button down shirt is an essential in a lady's closet and having a printed pant which in this case is "gingham," is not a bad idea. I paired the look with this comfy block heel sandals that you can buy at any price point irrespective of your budget

All black and plaid shirt

Hello, showcasing one of my recent "go-to" outfits in this post today; a top, denim and a shirt. I wore this outfit for an appointment a while back sans the high heels which I switched out for a pair of metallic flats. This sparkly metallic pumps from Asos was previously blogged about here. The plaid shirt was added on to the black outfit to add some print and color because I never really put it on; just left it tied at the waist.  It was a cool "layering outfit" for a cold day.

How are you doing? I hope you are doing great. It has warmed up a great deal in my neck of the woods and the time has come to get the layers  off.

Straw hats are such a huge trend this summer and they come in beautiful shapes and sizes. The most common kind is the regular beach hat which can be plain or embellished with pom-poms, tassels or graphics. Forget the time when the straw hat was only meant for the beach; this summer, you are going to see them about anywhere and styled with about any outfit. Call them what you may; straw hats, floppy hats, day hat, sun hat, boater hat,

Orange blazer and graphic tee

Okay, another graphic tee casual look here; this time paired with an orange color blazer which is not a common color in my opinion. I have a couple of orange color blazers and look forward to styling them in more fun ways in the fall. I paired my blazer with my dark blue denim trousers and low heel sandals for a very laid back look. The graphics on my tee says; "tres chic;" which is a French word for "cute" I presume. I got the tee from

Cobalt blue lace dress

So, I attended a friend's Mom's 60th birthday party  a few weeks ago and wore this blue jcrew lace dress. I love the cobalt blue color of and the ruffles at the hem. I just love lace dresses because they can are so versatile. They can be worn to weddings, showers and can be styled as tops. I purchased the dress in a deep purple color too and blogged about it here The red belt was added for a pop of color and I previously styled this dress as a blouse over a long red midi skirt for color-block styling effect somewhere on the blog.

The birthday party had a dress code which was optional;  a "uniform" head-wrap that is a West African cultural, traditional attire. The particular head piece I am wearing here on my dreadlocs is referred to as "Aso-oke." It is a heavy fabric that is usually hand woven and dyed in

Summer trend: Straw bag

So, you must have started seeing them everywhere; the summer "it-bags" aka straw bags. There is the very popular ark bag from Cult Gaia which looks picture perfect on blogs and on Instagram. I do not own this bag yet but I did create some sets on how I would style the ark  bag if I had one in addition to the regular straw bag which before now was just reserved exclusively for the beach.

I would style the ark bag with a pair of fancy sunglasses and a romper and a pair of mules to go on a picnic or summer cook-out or barbecue. I would also style it with an-off-the shoulder dress which come to think of it, it's just like "peanut butter

Double Polka dots

Happy Monday Friends; I hope you all had a great weekend. As usual, I spent mine with family because after God, family is everything to me. Then, I spent a little bit of time on the blog and the polyvore app creating sets after sets. The polyvore app can be so addictive!. Now unto this post; I found this old pictures in my archive and realized that I had not blogged it; so here it goes...

I styled this look around this polka dots pumps and on a whim, decided to put on my polka dots blouse with my red jacket to complement the shoes which is Sophia Webster by the way. I am usually not into shoe name brands;
