Happy first day of Spring!

Happy first day of spring! The calendar says it is spring but Minnesota streets are saying something else! I am excited for the warmer temperatures to get here but we have so much snow on the ground that we do not even want the snow to melt quickly just to combat against flooding. I took these pictures today and this outfit is the combination of two outfits I posted on the blog recently. I am wearing the grey sweater I wore here over the denim maxi skirt I wore in this post here and boots I wore in this post.   I know these pictures do not do this outfit justice because they are a bit blurry, taken on a cloudy day. By the way, this coat is different from the one I wore here in this post.

Green knit dress + Camel coat and three ways I am going green this year

Hi Friends 😀 It's been a while on here. I have not posted an outfit post in a while. It's been so hard taking pictures outdoors due to the extreme Winter weather conditions we have been having in Minnesota. It was cloudy, windy and very cold as I took these pictures and I really, really look forward to warmer temperatures. I have been doing a bit of fashion styling on YouTube though. You can check on me on there whenever I am absent from the blog. My YouTube handle is @Beautysfashionzoneblog

Camel Coat + My favorite Winter Accessory

á’£his is another one of my favorite coats to wear in the winter time, this camel long coat. Camel coat is just another classic or winter essential every lady should have in their closet. There are so many cheaper and more affordable options these days at fashion retail stores like Asos and Zara.  I got this from a consignment store about seven or eight years ago well before camel coats became a huge trend. You can get more information on my previous post. If you still need a camel coat at this time, consider checking the end of season sale around March and April.

Camel Coat + Brown Accessories

It is my blog's seven years anniversary and I'm really thankful to God and grateful for my readers and everyone who stops by here. I have thought of quitting so many times but realized that is even harder to quit than it is to run this blog. I have taken blog breaks so many times over the years but found out that the break only stops short of me publishing my posts. I still take pictures and write blog posts while I'm on break; after all, it's somewhat easy; I take all my pictures around my home using a tripod and remote control. So, I found out that, so long as I wear clothes and have internet connection, it'll be hard to really stop writing. Also, I end up publishing all my archived or draft posts when I'm done with my break; haha! 😊 Again, happy blog anniversary to me!

How to Style: Camel Coat and Leopard print Slingbacks

Now that Spring is here, it is time to ditch the boots for sandals, open toed shoes and slingbacks. If you need inspiration on how to slowly incorporate these style of shoes into your wardrobe, this outfit inspiration is for you. In the look above, the leopard print slingbacks is the statement piece in the set because it complements the camel coat nicely and still stands on its own. Now if you do not know exactly what slingbacks are, this is a lesson for you. "A slingback is a style of shoes that is closed in front and open at the back and usually with a strap at the back of the shoes. When the back strap is missing, the shoe is referred to as a mule and in some instances as a slide. To make this look wearable for spring, make sure the coat is long but not too long to cover your shoes and you can wear stockings too if you choose but ensure that you wear a pair that is close to your skin tone. Happy styling.

Faux Jumpsuit + Oversized camel color Coat

One of my styling tricks is pairing shades of same color together in a monochromatic style to achieve a totally new look thereby making the pieces versatile. I am able to achieve a faux jumpsuit just by pairing a simple top and pant together like I did in this look. The top and the pant are nearly the same shade of red so this makes the outfit look like a one piece. This styling tip definitely expands our wardrobe. My turtle neck top is from Boohoo and my pants are an old purchase from Victorias' Secret and the long length makes it perfect for layering in the winter. My oversized camel color coat completed the look and with the freezing temps we have been having here for days, a large comfy coat is a must. This coat is also a thrifted piece by the way.

                                               How to Style...

It is time to bundle up Friends; old man winter is here in full blast. It's very chilly in the twin cities today (Minneapolis-Saint Paul) and it's been snowing a lot. I figured it was time to put together some casual style inspiration on the blog and since I live in a very cold state, I always emphasize the importance of having a good quality warm coat that is not only warm and cozy but also very chic. The coat I would recommend is the camel coat. It is classy and elegant and can be dressed up and down. You can find them in various price points but a quality camel coat that is both stylish and cozy would cost a lot more. The best time to shop for them

Tan Monochrome

Blouse: Loft / Pants: Loft / Coat: old / Pumps: VS shoes (old)

Hi Friends, I hope everyone is doing great. It is starting to warm up really fast over here; "Yay" to Spring! I wore this look to church a couple of Sundays ago when it was still cold. My oversized camel color coat is the warmest ever and I was so comfortable; I almost did not want to take it off; however, it is a little bulky and heavy. I took these pictures quickly in a corner of the church building; my new location I just found; hehehe..lol. It can be a hassle scouting for places to take blog pictures. I am just glad that my son is always a good sport and never complains when it is time to snap a pic or two. I'm wishing everyone who is reading this post all of God's blessings in the new month of March and always.
