How to style Leather: Outfit inspiration

 

     Leather is a huge trend this fall and if you have never loved leather pieces, this might be a good time or season to rethink your style or taste in wardrobe. There are so many pieces or items made from leather in various price points from different retailers; high and low and you will definitely find something that you like. Leather fabric is great for the season and would elevate any piece of clothing that is is paired with, if styled right. Gone are the days when the only piece of leather clothing we all owned was a boring piece of leather moto jacket.

     What a unique year it has been and I bet everyone is eagerly waiting for the last day of the year to roll by. In as much as I want the year to roll away, I definitely do not want to do away with Christmas. Christmas season is just my favorite time of the year and my favorite holiday. I would still be celebrating this year but would be celebrating safely. So, there would be no Christmas parties this year just family celebration at home.  To get into the Christmas spirit, I'm doing most of my Christmas tradition which includes decorating the house and buying of gifts for loved ones. It is the season to wear plaid

 

     There is something about cold weather and plaid for me that I really cannot explain. When the temperature starts to drop at the start of the fall/autumn season, I get the longing to add this particular print to my wardrobe. The entrance of the shirt jacket "aka" Shacket (Shirt-Jacket) into the fashion scene this season, is another reason why I love this print. If you must know, the shirt jacket has been around for ages as men's wear and it slowly got into women's fashion recently. I loved this H&M piece a lot but it quickly sold out and since I really wanted to try out the trend, I decided to go thrifting for it and sure enough, I found a few pieces to add to my wardrobe this season.

Styling my blue velvet dress for Christmas two ways

 

     How do you want to celebrate Christmas this year? It's definitely going to be different for almost everyone for sure. For me, It's going to be a quiet celebration. Usually, I would host Christmas parties at home but since we are social distancing this year, I'm going to celebrate with my immediate family so, there is no need for elegant, fancy attire. I'll reserve the big puffy dresses for next year; haha! 😀

Winter Wish List

 

             Дt this time, my fashion wish lists and shopping guides are just mainly for entertainment and not meant to be considered seriously unless you really, really want to indulge because to be honest; who needs another pair of shoes or another bag or another jacket even if it is a leather jacket? We all know by now that our health and friendships and relationships is (are) what we should be investing in especially at this unprecedented time in our history. So, a big disclaimer here; this list is not meant to inspire you to do more shopping but rather to entertain you as you curl up on your couch with a hot cup of cocoa enjoying time with your family or friends. Leather Blazer + Maxi Denim Skirt

 

      Ԋi  everyone 😃 We are finally in the last month of the year 2020 and it's with Faith that I say that I pray that all our headaches and heartaches end with the year 2020. I pray that the upcoming year 2021 usher in a new beginning for us all. Well, it's December 1st! I took these pictures on a windy beautiful fall afternoon when the weather was a little cold but not cold enough for a heavy jacket. This brown printed leather blazer is one of my favorite thrifted blazers and believe me when I tell you that I purchased it for less than $20 and it is in great condition and 100% leather too.

 I know that this would not sound great to the animal activists out there and I sincerely apologize...I believe in sustainable fashion and saving the environment and was not exactly looking for 100% leather when I found this blazer. A printed leather jacket like this one  costs hundred of dollars at the stores. I paired the blazer with a vintage maxi denim  skirt and white button down shirt and completed the look with brown square toe boots. Believe me again when I tell you that this is a perfect fall outfit. Thanks so much for reading.

Holiday Gift Guide for Black Friday: Gifts for Her

 

       ᒣt is the season of giving again; and time for some gift giving inspiration. If you need help getting gifts for the fabulous ladies in your life, you can start by gifting her a dress for the holiday and this burgundy color satin dress is just perfect for the Christmas season. A magazine subscription in digital and print is another great gift option just make sure you know what kind of magazine your recipient would like and if in doubt get a design magazine or a fashion magazine or a great coffee table book. Paintings or other items of décor like tall planters can also be given to single friends or family friends. 

 Earrings and Throws are also great. The icing on the cake would be a cute pair of shoes and it does not have to be heels all the time. Since we have all been stuck inside at home and will also be celebrating the holiday while social distancing, this beautiful Badgley Mischka flats would be a great gift to any lady.
