Wedding Style: Floral Dress + clear belt

 

Wedding season is here; summer weddings, that is and one of my favorite piece to wear to weddings and bridal events is a dress. In this post, I restyled this bold floral dress previously styled here into a shorter dress with the use of rubber bands which I used to make loops around the waist then I tucked the dress over the loops and cinched a clear belt over it. 

Why go through the trouble? you might ask...Well, it's all for fun. It's so much fun when I am able to restyle pieces from my closet for different occasions. A white pair of sandals, sunglasses and red statement earrings completed the look. I hope to do more restyling from my closet henceforth. Thanks so much for reading.

Grey puffy sleeve Sweater + Blue pouch Bag

 

       Puffy sleeves are a big deal right now. You can find them on blouses, dresses, jumpsuits and even on blazers. I purchased this puffy sleeve sweater from Loft last year including the denim and I styled this look to attend a friend's surprise proposal event last spring. I completed the look with a woven, blue pouch bag, my favorite at the moment and a pair of brown cone shaped heel boots. Now that the warm weather is finally here, I'm excited to put all the sweaters away. I hope the weather is beautiful wherever you are. Thanks for reading.

Summer Essentials: Straw bucket Bag

         Bucket bags are making a resurgence in the form of straw bags this season as I have been seeing online. We all know that straw bags or raffia bags have been summer staples for years and the vibes or elevation that they bring to summer outfits cannot be underestimated. I styled a straw bucket bag with my outfit in this post here. In my opinion, this season's straw bucket bag trend is going to check all the marks and a lot more for that trendy Fashionista.        I sought out a yellow color sweater dress for a long time and was so glad when I finally found this. Styling it was super easy, yellow and white go perfectly together and this pair of boots have been in heavy rotation lately. My embellished headband completed this look. I wore this dress on Easter Sunday and I look forward to styling it again in the Fall. Thanks so much for reading.

Green cable knit sweater Dress + White Boots

 

     

         Cable knit sweaters are some of my favorite pieces for cold weather season and it's even better when they are sweater dresses. I fell in love with this mint green baloon sleeve sweater dress when I saw it first time online. The color and style is super gorgeous and the cable knit design and texture is very unique.

Wine color sweater + leather Skirt

      These pictures are old pictures I took some time ago when the pandemic was raging hence the mask accessory.  A quick look at my outfit here; I am wearing a burgundy monochrome outfit; wine color sweater, burgundy color pencil skirt and boots. Our spring in Minnesota is cold though not as cold as our winter season and sweaters and boots are still part of my wardrobe pretty much at this time. The boots are from Sole Society. and the bag is my own vintage; an old piece from my closet. Haha! 😀 Thanks for stopping by.

        Green color accessories is trending this season especially green color bags. The Bottega Veneta woven (knot) top handle bag has inspired a lot of bags in similar hue along with the JW PEI ruched hobo hand bag. This style board is to inspire you to style green color outfits with ease. Grey knit dress + white boots for Spring

 

      Grey dresses do not get enough love as they should for whatever reason. I love grey dresses or outfits though and I do not know why but I think it might be because of the long cold winter in my city. There is no way I can go through the whole of winter without wearing the color grey; it may be a grey pantsuit, a sweater dress or linen dress or just sweater and pants. This post is on the recent addition to my grey wardrobe; this gray, chambray, fit and flare dress that I wore to Church a while back. The weather was really cold, so I had to wear some tights and I decided to wear black tights underneath for a deep contrast in color.

This knit dress was purchased from JCPenney and it's similar to another knit dress I wore here in my previous post. I love the style of it, the waist ties to cinch the waist and the soft comfy fabric. I paired the dress with white accessories, keeping everything simple. Another way to style this dress would be the way I did in this previous post here with a similar knit dress.  Of course, snake print boots would be another styling option especially in the fall. Green Puffer Coat + Black Denim

           ϸuffer coats made a big resurgence last fall in more dramatic styles and bold colors. I have had this green piece for years now and though it is not big or dramatic in size, it is bold in color. It's a thrifted piece I got years ago and yes, if you have read this blog long enough, you would know by now that a good part of my outerwear which includes blazers and coats and jackets were purchased pre-loved.

 Due to the harsh/cold seasons in my state, there is always good inventory of outerwear at our consignment and thrift stores. I threw the jacket over a plain white tee and black denim and completed the look with my worn combat boots and a lucite bag or clear bag. The clear bag is from Shein. All white Outfit + Trench Coat

         𐌹n today's post, I'm wearing a Fall outfit that I repurposed for spring; Now that the weather has warmed up greatly, all my favorite trench and duster coats are in heavy rotation. A pair of snake print boots completed this all-white look along with this cow print bag that was gifted to me by my sister-in-law.
