Spring Trend: Dramatic Sleeves

Just when we thought we have had enough of "off -the-shoulder" and "cold shoulder tops;" the drama around ladies necklines and sleeves continues. Spring 2017 trends showcase ruffle sleeves, bell sleeves, trumpet sleeves; it's all about drama! drama!! drama!!! What say you? "Yay or Nay?"

Pink Blazer + Cropped White Denim

Happy Wednesday Friends; I hope your week is going great; spring is just around the corner; time to get out the colors. Hot pink is a color that is trending now and I decided to pair this old thrifted blazer that has been in my closet for a while with this white cropped denim pants from Loft. Pink can be paired beautifully with black, white, blue, emerald and a few other colors. Pink and white screams spring to me

Grey Culottes + Stiletto heels

 

Happy Tuesday Friends; just a short post today to celebrate the warm weather; it's like having summer in the middle of Winter. The weather today is 50* degree plus which actually is summer weather in Minnesota. We are so used to our cold and frigid weather and below zero temperatures in Minnesota that any double digits temperature is regarded as great weather. What better way to celebrate the beautiful weather than to wear culottes?


This tailored and structured one is actually very great for work. And again, what better way to wear a pair of culottes other than pairing it with great high stilettos? This helps to formalize the look and to elongate the legs. Culottes are actually not work friendly in a corporate work environment but if you work in a less formal office environment or your own office/ business, go for it. The denim culottes is another option for casual wear and Spring 2017 is going to showcase the culottes for both work and play. What are your thoughts on culottes? Yay or Nay?

Cobalt Blue Pant Suit + Blue floral Pumps

Happy Monday and Presidents day Friends. A lot of mixed feelings about President's day this year but when it comes to wearing the color blue, I absolutely do not have any mixed feelings. It is a color I am starting to embrace and explore. Several years ago, I never would have thought of wearing a blue color pant suit but I started taking fashion risks over the past years and last summer, I put this cobalt color pant suit together which are actually separates; the blazer is an old thrifted piece  and the pants is an old purchase from Jcrew. I paired the look with my white blouse from Ann Taylor and accessorized with a pair of blue floral Nine West pumps to get a full blue outfit. So much dose of blue medicine to get rid of the Monday blues; Enjoy the rest of the week and thanks for stopping by.

Cardigans are usually a common trend in the Spring but this year, it is a little more; the "mustard color cardigan" would be a huge trend.  'paired with distressed denim, floral dresses or whites, it is a trend that can be worn by many. In the outfit styleboard board above, I paired the cardigan with burgundy color ankle booties and crisp white shirt and distressed denim; definitely, a very casual chic outfit.
