Lace, Sparkles and Fur (A simple holiday outfit)

Now that it is holiday season and the time for all those Christmas parties and holiday dinners, putting an outfit together to match the event should be a breeze. To make it really easy this season, get in your closet and pick two or three outfits based on the number of invitations you have. It is always a good idea though to put together one or more extra outfit incase you need to change your mind at the last minute about a particular outfit. Then throw in the season's accessories like the fur stole, glitter/sequin shoes and purses and the statement jewelry. Below are pictures of me in a party outfit I wore recently to a dinner at a Latin Bistro with my friends.

I wanted to wear a very simple outfit to the event and I did not want to wear a sequin or glitter dress so I decided on this simple lace dress I blogged about a while back in this post HERE.  It was a cold evening and rather than taking a jacket with me or draping a scarf around my shoulders, I decided to use the fur stole which was really warm and cozy draped around my neck.  I intend to get the fur stole in many other colors because they add a great pop of color and some edge to any simple outfit and it is a great accessory to own during the holidays.

Upgrade your intimates Season

Happy Saturday friends. If you are still shopping and buying those last minute gifts for your friends and family then you might want to stop by one of America's popular lingerie and intimates store this season. Victoria's secret stores always have very good sales at this time of the year and this would be a good time to purchase those intimate essentials like sleepwear, lingerie, fragrances and beauty products. The advice given by beauty consultants is for ladies to go for bra sizing/fittings at least once yearly especially if they lost some weight or went through some physical transformation like pregnancy and child care. Some of the sales this season include "free shipping on orders over $125" and "buy 2, get 2 free on fragrance gifts and accessories."

                                                               Happy shopping

Holiday Outfit Ideas

                                                                        A little bit of fur

The holidays are here and it is definitely a time to dress in out best attires as we attend those end of year parties; definitely a time to celebrate all the victories we have overcome all year through. Faux fur accessories and metallic, glitter and sequins pieces and/or accessories add a lot of glam to a holiday outfit. Below are some outfit collages for inspiration.

From Summer to Winter Midi skirt

Happy Thursday Everyone 😃 the weekend is almost here. It's freezing in my city and the temperature is going to drop even more this weekend with lots of snow. This post is on how to wear your summer pieces in the cold season or Winter. The key to do this is always the change of accessories as we all already know by now. I wore this Ann Taylor pineapple print midi skirt a couple of times in the summer and blogged about it HERE. This piece by all indications,  is definitely a summer piece at least judging by the print. This midi skirt was a huge hit in the stores and online because it sold out pretty quickly. Fast forward to last Sunday when we had a huge snow storm and I reached for the skirt again 😂

I have a couple of winter or heavy fabric skirts in my closet that I could have worn to church last Sunday but I was determined on wearing this particular skirt so I whopped out my winter accessories; this DIY faux fur snood, my knit sweater dress (worn as top) and over the knee boots. I completed the look with a blue long coat which is not shown in these pics and I was comfy and chic! Don't you think? wink!! Thanks so much for reading.

Cobalt Plaid

Hi Friends; happy Wednesday. This is just a quick post on this pretty cobalt blue color plaid skirt I purchased and wore over the summer; tucked my black onesie black shirt into it and completed my look with this pretty Asos pompom sandals blogged about HERE. The plaid print is very popular in the Fall and Winter season but mostly in the styles of plaid scarfs and coats. With a plaid skirt like this one, you would definitely diversify the way you wear plaid. This skirt can be dressed up for work with a great chunky sweater and a pair of nice booties. I purchased this at Target but it is currently sold out. I have put links to similar skirts below. Thanks so much for reading.

Prints and Pink

Happy Tuesday 😁 and thanks for stopping by here. I realized I have been putting up blog posts almost every day for the last few weeks and I'm not sure if I can keep it up for a long time but it is okay for now and I am having fun doing it. So, thank-you once again for reading and supporting my love for publishing.

This is just a quick post showing what I wore to church a few week ago; a mix of leopard prints and this hot pink pants which is so comfy I could live in them  all day. I have a sudden love for white and black color leopard prints and have purchased a few items in this shade of leopard prints. How bold can you go with your pink?

Happy Monday Friends; I hope the new week is going great. I'm talking plaid for Work wear Monday today and from what I see, it seems to be a print that is worn most often by men for work. I mean, just go to the Men's store and you can see lots and lots of shirts in plaid. I want to let ladies know that this is a print they can also do for work and there are endless options to styling them. Also, it is not a print that is reserved for the warm summery months alone; plaid can be styled for work in the Fall too and not just by wearing the plaid jackets and coats. The collages below are just some inspiration on how to put "plaid print looks" together for the cold season.
