Gingham Blazer

Hi Friends; I hope we all had a great weekend; mine was pretty exciting and to know what I was up to over the weekend, just check out my previous posts. Spring is such a beautiful time of the year and with with all the plants and flowers blooming, being outdoors is a must. I was in such an awesome mood today because of all the beauty I saw in nature and because I was putting on my new gingham blazer I got from Macy's. This blazer is so pretty and trendy that it quickly sold out; in my neighborhood Macy's at least. I know there are lots of similar designs online right now because gingham prints are trending.

I paired the blazer with this buttery yellow pants from Loft and yellow is such a trendy color right now too..win! win!! what I love most about this outfit though is the blazer because it is very appropriate for the weather due to the light weight fabric and short length and the belt which can be tied as an obi belt. Macy's is currently having a 25% sale off blazers with the code FRIENDS. Tan and Floral

Spring is blooming!! woot! woot!! I went out with the family today and this is what I wore; a floral blazer over a pair of tan shorts; definitely very neutral colored-outfit and not so colorful but the floral blazer does represent spring in a big way. This blazer was a thrift find several years ago and it is the first time I am showcasing it on the blog though I have worn it lots and lots of times. I actually thought of wearing a pair of red gladiator heels with this outfit then changed my mind last minute and went for this neutral color Chinese Laundry gladiators instead.

 We made a couple of stops today; visited family, did some shopping and also stopped at the park. It was not a big surprise to see lots of people at the park and out and about because the temperature was in the 70s. We Minnesotans spent too much time in the deep freeze during the winter months that we can wait to get all the sun and fun of being outdoors. Pink Cable Knit

Happy May day everyone. I'm getting so good with my blog posts; posting almost everyday. It's definitely refreshing to be able to do this. It's a fashion blog and I wear clothes every day so why not post the pics? No pressure whatsoever though. If I am able to put up daily posts, it's okay and If I am not able to, it is okay too. Let's see how everything goes..

I wore this pink cable knit sweater over pink denim today and I did not go anywhere in it but loved the monochromatic look and decided to do a blog post on it. I accessorized with leopard print pumps and my two toned purse I purchased from Loft about two years ago. My four year old daughter took these pictures and she is actually my photographer now. My older son and daughter have taken a small break from photography duties..haha!...:-). We took the pictures with my cell phone as usual and though they are not that great; they are here.....hehe..:-).

First Quarterly Summary

Fashion Reflection

So, the first quarter of the year is done; woot! woot!! I thank God for his mercy, grace and love and I'm feeling thankful right now that I'm still here. I thank everyone who stops by here every now and then to say hi and leave comments. I'm not a fashion stylist or style blogger but just a mom whose hobby is fashion blogging. I do share trends once in a while and share hauls and outfit collages too and explore different ways in which I can adapt trends to fit me personally. I'm so glad that these days, there are really not much rules in fashion anymore; all that is needed is for everyone to dress their age or their status and wear clothes that fit. This is what I strive to do with my own style and I'm growing everyday with my fashion choices.

My closet is growing by the day and it's getting more colorful fun. These outfits below are the outfits I shared on the blog in the past months and I hope to share more colorful and fun outfits in the upcoming months. Thanks once again for your love and support.

Again, "Stripes" says hi

It is stripes day again and this time, there is a dash of color with this red blazer which is also one of many reds. I just discovered recently that almost every blazer in my closet has a twin. In a way, it is good because then I do not have to wear out a particular blazer since I wear them a lot. It is time too to get all the pumps and sandals out of the closet. I wore socks for months due to the cold weather and it feels good to finally give my feet a break. I'm looking forward to some relaxing pedicures soon. Time to get ready for the summer.

I'm so glad that the situation in Baltimore is slowing getting under control. It is amazing to know too that churches and the Baltimore symphony orchestra got together to help in calming down so many nerves. The prayers and thoughts continue. And sometimes when we pray, we do not get answers to our prayers or the intended outcome we wanted but this does not mean that God is not God anymore. He is God no matter the situation. Prayers give us the faith, courage and strength to face and deal with any situation.
