Polka Dots + Red wide-leg Pants

Happy Wednesday Friends, I hope the week is going great. I do not celebrate Valentine on February 14th as I believe Love should be celebrated any day and everyday; so, I did not make much fuss about it here on the blog. I have been married for over ten years and I have two boys and two girls ranging from ages three to ten and I strongly believe that love should be celebrated between couples especially on anniversaries and birthdays. If February 4th Valentine celebration happens to be one of the special days you celebrate with your spouse; it is perfectly okay.

My outfit for the day is a polka dots blouse tucked into a pair of red wide legged pants purchased from Victoriassecret years ago. They are the most comfortable and trendy pants ever and the quality is amazing; definitely the perfect work pants. The polka dots blouse is from Loft and currently sold out but I have included links of similar items below the pics if you want to check them out. This outfit is feminine and chic at the same time and definitely appropriate for work in a corporate setting on Valentine's day or day after Valentines. Keep spreading the love 💞

Cable knit sweater + pleated red Skirt

Since it is #throwback Thursday on social media, this is a quick post on what I wore to church last Sunday. This long red pleated skirt was custom made years ago; I purchased the pleated fabric from a fabric store and sent it to my seamstress and had it made. Pleated skirts are on trend right now and my skirt has been in heavy rotation. Since the maxi skirt is somewhat dramatic, I just threw on a simple black sweater over it. Also, the weather was somewhat cold so the cable knit sweater was even better because it is very warm and comfy due to the extra knit. Have a happy weekend in advance.

Casual Denim in the Snow

It's throwback Thursday 😁  Yes, the weekend is almost here. These photos are throwback pics too. I wore this outfit on a cold, windy day a few weeks ago and No, I did not step out of the house into the cold like this. I had on a long, comfy coat over this outfit and you can see the pictures in this blogpost HERE. So, let's just say these are leftover pics. I would be wearing different combinations of this same outfit many times over in the Spring; simple shirt, denim pants and comfortable shoes; speaking of which; I'm so excited that Spring is around the corner. Until the next post lovelies; kisses 😙

Sweater Dress + Camel color sleeveless coat

Happy first day of February Friends. So in my previous posts, I wore a snowy day outfit and today, it is all about a simple casual wear for a not-too-cold winter day. I have always loved sweater dresses and I purchased this burgundy color one from Victoriassecret years ago and this makes me wonder for the umpteenth time; "whatever happened to Victoriassecret's clothing and shoes line?" They used to have very fabulous clothing line for work and play and I really loved their sweater dresses and work wear. Their Colin Stuart shoe collection was also beautiful too but it's all gone and they've gone back to just selling lingerie and beauty products. I have not read or heard anything in the media about this and I'm curious to know more.

Now, back to this simple outfit; my sweater dress is really clingy and since I'm very curvy, I decided to throw on a sleeveless coat for extra cover. And to the big curvy girls like me; it's okay to be confident in whatever you wear but you always have to exercise some caution in your dressing so you can look decent and classy. In other words, if you are big behind, you definitely need to invest in good shapewear and have a good collection of light coats, cardigans, vests, dusters and kimonos whichever suits your fashion taste. Check out my Bible verse of the day below and thanks so much for reading.

Yellow Color Coat + blanket Scarf

Happy Wednesday friends; first of all, I'll like to apologize for the quality of the pictures in this post. When you have your little kid as your professional photographer, this is what happens...😂 However, I'm sure if you squint a little bit more, you'll be able to see the outfit I'm wearing...😂 Okay, I'm just kidding!! If anything, I'm quite sure you can see my mustard color coat though. It is an old piece I whopped out of my closet on a freezing afternoon. I threw a blanket scarf over it, paired the whole look with a dark denim pants and over the knee boots and I was out the door; definitely casual at its best.

Hey! I must say too that the blanket scarf is the best thing to happen to fashion lately. To say the truth, it does elevate winter fashion to a whole new level. A blanket scarf wrapped around your neck or thrown over your shoulders keeps you warm and stylish all the time. If you live in the temperate region, make sure you get a couple of them in great colors or print; usually, they look more stylish when they have a plaid or grid print (in my opinion). This freezing temperature is not going to take the fashion or style out of me. All my colorful coats and blanket scarfs are out of the closet and would be taking their turns this winter. See you in the next fashion post; *Kisses...*

Beauty Post

Happy Friday Friends; just a quick post on here  as I do some tiding and put some finishing touches on the blog. Yes, I am cleaning house on here too; deleted some drafts that never got revised and did some editing on those which I'm preparing for next year and this post here is one of such. My intention for the new year is to add some "beauty product review posts" on the blog every now and then; nothing major though because I do not have any expertise in this field. I'll only share any new product I'm interested in or intend to try.

Presently, I use beauty products from some of the brands pictured here; Mary Kay and Victorias Secret and I'm happy with them so far but willing to try some other products in the new year. So, do not be surprised when you see a post or two on beauty products in the coming year. What about you; do you clean house and do some editing in and around the house or on your blog before the new year?

Bomber Jacket and Green Pleat Skirt

Hi Friends, I trust we all had a great Thanksgiving weekend; mine was so much fun. I spent time with family and friends and there was lots of food and dancing involved. Yeah, I must say I enjoyed the dancing just as much as the food and with extra dancing planned for this next weekend, I should be able to lose the extra pounds gained from eating all that food. I'll be talking about dancing a lot in the next upcoming holiday posts because I have discovered that it is the best exercise for anyone; very inexpensive and the only motivation you need is some good music.

This outfit was my Thanksgiving attire featuring a bomber jacket over pleated maxi skirt. Bomber jackets and pleat skirts are trending right now and like I always say when it comes to Fashion; nothing is really new; fashion recycles. I got this skirt made three years ago. I went to the Fabric store and saw this mini pleat fabric that I really love and I bought them in five colors; purple, red, green, blue and black. I had three made into maxi skirts and I'm still thinking of what to make with the other two colors left. Any suggestions? pleated dress, pants....Seriously, I need suggestions on what else to make with pleated fabric aside from skirts and dresses...Thanks for your feedback.

Hello September

Hello everyone; happy new Month of September. I knew I just had to get on the blog to say hi and express my well wishes for the new month. How have you all been? Summer is gradually coming to an end and I'm a bit sad about it..:-) This summer has been a fun and eventful one and I pray the Fall season brings along loads of fun too.

I got this awesome pineapple print skirt with pockets from Ann Taylor at the onset of the summer and I really like the diversity it adds to my closet both in print and color. The fabric is very soft and comfy though it wrinkles quite easily. The length is just perfect too. I am so glad I got to wear some cool skirts this summer because Summer is the best time for skirts like this; in my opinion. Do you agree?
