Midi Skirt and a Sweater





I wore this outfit to church on Easter Sunday and I have actually posted pictures of this same skirt somewhere on the blog before. The popular London red bus/phone booth print midi skirt is from Chicwish and it is very catchy, girly and fun. The skirt was previously sold out but it's now back in stock. I am going to keep this post short and sweet by ending it right here...lol.

Black trench coat and color blocking








It's April; woot! woot!! Summer is almost here. I am very sure this is the most color I ever wore in an outfit during the spring season; usually at this time of the year, we are still bundled up in dark grey heavy coats and snow boots in Minnesota but the weather has been so good to us this year. It was very sunny when I took these pictures on my porch and I actually needed sun glasses. I do not like the way I frown when the sun gets in my eyes..lol. I know it is time to rummage in the closets to get out the sunglasses. Summer is around the corner "Yay!!"

Wearing a full floral outfit like a two piece skirt or pant suit or a dress whether maxi or tea length is okay too for the season however, there is nothing elegant about such looks (because it's so predictable) compared to just adding subtle floral piece or accessory here and there. A blazer, with the right accessories can take you from the office to happy hour, to date night or a weekend garden party. This post is one of many styling posts to come on the blog where a clothing item would be restyled for different occasions or events.

A good quality blazer in a great color is a must have but if you are not into colorful clothes, then you can get one in a neutral color. Quality blazers can go as high as $200 a piece but stores like JCrew and Ann Taylor do have good quality blazers on sale every now and then.
