Wardrobe Basics; "the blazer" (Part One)

The Blazer...

Wardrobe Basics

The blazer is one of the most essential piece of clothing item that can be found in  a lady's closet and the styling possibilities are so diverse. A blazer, with the right accessories can take you from the office to happy hour, to date night or a weekend garden party. This post is one of many styling posts to come on the blog where a clothing item would be restyled for different occasions or events.

A good quality blazer in a great color is a must have but if you are not into colorful clothes, then you can get one in a neutral color. Quality blazers can go as high as $200 a piece but stores like JCrew and Ann Taylor do have good quality blazers on sale every now and then. Below are three ways I would style the blue blazer pictured above.

Work Wear

Chicwish white shirt
chicwish.com

Blue jacket
shein.com

Jimmy Choo suede shoes
$510 - row.jimmychoo.com

Hermès hand bag
$6,845 - vestiairecollective.com

Garden Party

Sans Souci white sleeveless top
sanssoucistores.com

Blazer jacket
shein.com

From the pictures above, you can see that the blazer and the pant are the basic pieces of the three outfits; the accessories and the blouse change the outfits and transform the basics from one event and occasion to another. Do you have a basic piece like a good blazer in your closet?

  3. I love the garden party look the best. In terms of basics I would add a black dress and a pair of well fitting jeans to the list of things to have in your closet. Have a great week!
