Striped Shirt + White wide leg Pants

Happy Monday Everyone; another work wear outfit today on the blog. We all know striped shirts are trending at the moment and there is always something extra about the striped blouses/shirts; ruffles, and more ruffles, dramatic sleeves, and necklines; just name it. This neck tie blouse I am wearing here is an old purchase from Loft and the white wide-legged pants is from Nordstrom; also an old purchase. It is always a great delight when clothing items from season's past are still trendy in present day and that is one great reason why it is important that we buy classy and timeless pieces. The neck tie detail on this striped long sleeved blouse which is sometimes referred to as the "pussy neck blouse" gives a feminine touch to the formal striped work shirt. The blouse is currently sold out in this design/stripes at Loft but there are other great options of neck tie blouses on-line. My blue patent pumps completed the look.

How is your week going? I hope you are starting the new work week with a new and better attitude in life? I woke up this morning with a renewed  attitude to keep living my life with a God-given purpose at all times. N o material possession or life situation should change our God given purpose in life. 'you want to know more about this God given purpose? Check out my scripture of the day below. As always, these pics were taken on my front porch with my iPhone by my five year old daughter  😁 Thanks a lot for stopping by my blog and for your sweet thoughts and comments.

Cable knit sweater + pleated red Skirt

Since it is #throwback Thursday on social media, this is a quick post on what I wore to church last Sunday. This long red pleated skirt was custom made years ago; I purchased the pleated fabric from a fabric store and sent it to my seamstress and had it made. Pleated skirts are on trend right now and my skirt has been in heavy rotation. Since the maxi skirt is somewhat dramatic, I just threw on a simple black sweater over it. Also, the weather was somewhat cold so the cable knit sweater was even better because it is very warm and comfy due to the extra knit. Have a happy weekend in advance.

Blue Blazer + Grey flared pants

Happy Wednesday 😘 Just a quick post here today on another work wear outfit. I'm wearing a dark blue color blazer over a pair of grey wide leg pants. The grey pant is actually a part of a two piece pant suit ensemble but I ditched the grey blazer for this blue blazer to create a color block effect. Grey is such a cool color to wear in the winter season but I wasn't in the mood for a two piece monochrome look. The blue blazer is a thrifted piece and my pant is an old purchase from Nordstrom. Click on the link to shop similar items for work.

Valentine day is around the corner I know but it is not a holiday I celebrate so, I'm not doing any outfit inspiration for valentine. However, red and black  are colors that always work for valentine and if you need more inspiration; check out my style boards on Polyvore when you click the style board link on the right of this blog. You can also check out my style boards on my second Instagram feed; @beautyfashionzone. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Nude + Pink Pastels

Happy Tuesday ladies; another new day to achieve beautiful new memories. Like I said in my previous post, the weather has warmed up a bit so I figured it is time to break out the pastels. This white tie neck blouse tucked into a soft pink color denim pants was the way to go this morning and since the heavy coats are not really needed right now, the light nude color duster coat was an appropriate choice of outerwear. It's trench-like details and vintage look gives a sort of edginess to the feminine outfit. The  red color block heels was to add a pop of color. If you live in the warm region and want to recreate this look, you can swap a blazer for the long coat and you'll still achieve the same look. Enjoy your day ladies and thanks so much for stopping by 🙋

Plaid Skirt + long red coat

Happy Monday lovelies; I hope the week started off right for you. I'm sharing a quick post for "work wear Monday" today featuring classic/old pieces from my closet. Since red color is trending this month and it's still winter, I decided to wear this long red coat as a statement piece over a simple white blouse and plaid wrap skirt. Do you notice the high neckline on my white blouse? It is really a nice touch since it mimics a turtle neck and the cut out lace details is so girly and fun.

The weather has warmed up to the 30s and if you live in Minnesota, this is warm/summer weather for us in the middle of winter 😂 So, do not be surprised that I am not wearing stockings. If you are not used to the cold however, I'll definitely recommend that you add a pair of nylon stockings to this outfit if you want to recreate this look.

Did anyone watch the super bowls last night? Oh my God! that was such a fun game!! I'm not a die hard football fan and I have not sat down through an entire football game before but I'm so glad I watched the whole game yesterday and saw how a team that was way down (New England Patriots) ended up winning the game in overtime; definitely history making moment/game. The win really strengthened my faith that we should never lose hope in life no matter the situation we are in. I wish you a great and productive week.
