My Mother's Day Gift

Happy Mother's day to me and all the females everywhere!! The Female Gender is awesome; ladies rule...lol. I received my mother's day gift to myself this morning and you all already know what it is..**smiling** Yes, we love shoes in this space; they do not necessarily have to be red bottoms and they also do not have to rhyme with the phrase "gimme shoes" but they just have to be pretty with a good pointy high heel. The red bottoms and other high designers get on the wish list sometimes too but not always...

Can you believe this is my first purchase from Asos ever? Yes, I admit it with all honesty. I do not know why I waited this long to make a purchase from Asos with all the buzz that has been going on about the store on social media for a long time. I think unconsciously, I tend to give more support to the American chains because I discovered I rarely shop at Zara and H&M too and only have few pieces in my closet from theses chains.

"Why all this story?" you might ask..well, I don't know; I just thought I should fill you in on this little tit-bit about my shopping habit. So, as I said earlier, I purchased my mother's day gift; a black pair of black suede pumps from Asos a week ago and I received the package this morning. I wore the heels for sometime in the house today to break them in and they are super comfy and crazily affordable too. I realized last minute as I put them away in my shoe closet that I already had a similar pair from Victoria Secret which I wore in this post here and here. The Christian Louboutin So Kate Suede Pumps are still on my wish list so, if any one wants to give "yours Sincerely" here a gift, you know what to get...**grinning.**

Oxfords and Duster..

Hi Friends, I hope you are all enjoying this awesome friday. The weather has been so beautiful over here lately except for the occasional rain now and then which is also not really a bad thing. I love it when it rains especially when it rains at night; don't you?

This is what I wore to run some errands today; I stopped by at the DMV (Department of Motor vehicles) to get new tabs for my car and this annual chore is just another reminder of how fast the time flies these days. I do not know if it is because we spend a lot of time on our phones and computers and are not really aware of the passing time or we are just extra busy these days that we do not have time to pause and reflect; whatever it is, the time is flying faster than before or maybe the days have gone shorter?...:-).

Well, It's a casual friday because I do get fridays off work these days and friday is the perfect day to dress up in jeans and do stuff or errands. This hooded tee that has spent about two years in the closet and this cropped jeans that was purchased recently from LOFT made a very good pairing today and what else to ground the look than this pair of crown vintage Alexis oxfords. The light duster coat was very essential today too because it was windy and just a tad cold.

If you have been following my blog or seen old posts, you might have noticed all the snow covered backgrounds but everything is all melted now and the trees and plants are blooming. Such a marvelous sight. You cannot help but wonder at the awesomeness of God when you spend some time in nature.

Yours Sincerely here has a beautiful pair of shoes that is getting her excited and it is this faux snake print pumps from LFL. I am not familiar with the designers and I'm thinking they are new but they are creating very affordable pumps for the stylish lady. The prints on the shoes featured above are so pretty and kind of looks like tribal print fabric and they are my favorite design in the collection I saw online. They are so affordable too and come in beautiful colors and prints; no wonder they are selling out fast everywhere. The only con about this pretty shoes is that they are not real leather but who cares? **eyes rolling**....:-). These shoes are proof that shoes do not have to cost a ton to be beautiful and stylish.

It's the season of florals and in creating my Mother's day outfit collages, I decided to add a floral piece into every outfit; the floral romper in the first collage, the floral dress in the second and the floral pumps in the third. I also added an unexpected piece to all the outfits; the chevron print clutch in the first, the army green blazer in the second and the striped blazer in the last. 

Mother's day is a day to dress up and be feminine and chic. If dresses and rompers are not your thing and you want to be a "Tom-boy Mum" on Mother's day by wearing oxfords, brogues and denim, it is okay too so long as you are happy and confident in what you wear. Let's celebrate ourselves, our moms, grandmas, sisters and Aunts everywhere.
