Casual style on a cold fall day: Green knit snood and vintage croc effect bucket bag

Hi Everyone 😀 So, now it's back to reality after all the Thanksgiving festivities and holiday deals and shopping. Did you get to do any black Friday or cyber Monday shopping? I did a little shopping and get some items I felt was missing in my closet. I have been seeing beautiful beret style on insta and wanted to get my hands on one because you know I try to indulge in affordable fashion trends. So, I did some browsing and found some affordable berets on Forever 21 like this black color here and this plaid prints style here. Although the red beret is a little too common and basic, I like the fact that it's eye catching and can add a huge dose of color to an outfit. I ended up getting myself one from the Shein website here. I have also wanted a black color polka dots pumps for a while and I found an affordable pair at 40 % discount on the Macy's Website. I still have a few things on my list like a sequin skirt and cowboy boots but I'm not planning on buying anything full price anymore; just show me the deals, deals, deals...😆

Graphic tee + Gingham

Hi Friends; first of all, I want to say a big thank-you to all of you who stopped by to send me good wishes on my recent outfit post when I shared the mishap that happened in my home. Thank God my son is okay now and though we are still keeping a close eye on him, we believe that he is well and that God delivered us from a major mishap. We are all so careful now more than ever when we use the stairs; my house is three levels high and with very high ceilings so our staircases are pretty long.

Another good thing that came out of the mishap was "instant fitness." I stayed up the whole saturday night pacing up and down for most of the time and my body reacted to the unplanned exercise. I think I might have lost about five pounds from the stress because everyone around me noticed and told me so before I confirmed it on my scale.

It's been a little brisk in Minneapolis the last couple of days especially in the mornings and it did get brisk enough to require a sweater. I decided it was a good day yesterday to put on this graphic long sleeve tee I bought a few months back and blogged about here. I just love the message; such a sweet reminder on the importance of prayers.  I paired it with this gingham pant I purchased from Loft last summer which is currently on sale here  and I finished the look with a grey bag and this black, thick, ankle strap pumps. I tried to add some color to the outfit with my red lips but I do not think I was able to pull it off...:-).

Graphic tee: the_book_boutique (on instagram)
Pants: Loft
Pumps: VS Shoes (old)
Tortoise shell sunnies: Loft
Bag: Rossetti

Did you notice that this pumps are identical to the silver ones I wore in my last post? They were on sale at Victoriassecret website last summer and I decided to get the two pairs. I like the unique bold, ankle strap and the fact that they are detachable too. It's always great to have versatile pieces in our closets.

Thanks so much for stopping by

Style Muse-Yes she did!

I am so excited to be writing about my style crush again; Victoria Beckham. She is one woman I admire her fashion sense in the entire universe because she is always simple, chic, elegant and sophisticated at the same time. She does not wear tons of accessories either save for her sky-high heels and cute bags but wait a minute; that was then...

Victoria Beckham has been coming out a lot lately in flats due to the foot condition bunions, that she admits she now suffers from. She was seen recently in flip-flops when she vacationed with her family at Disney Land! Oh, yes she did!! The great thing though, is that she looks equally cute in flip-flops as she does in heels. This lady can do no wrong when it comes to fashion.

I love seeing  pictures of her and her lovely family and I just got excited to share recent pictures of her on the blog again. See the last post on her here.

Do you enjoy VB's fashion as I do; do you like to keep it simple or you rather layer on the accessories? What are your thoughts on her fashion sense or her love for heels? I do love heels too but I always break up my look once in a while by wearing a pair of flats. Common sense is needed sometimes when it comes to making fashion choices...:-).

Gingham on Gingham

Gingham Shirt: Dress barn
Red Pants: Express
Black Tote: Kenneth Cole via T. J. Maxx
Gingham heels: Colin Stuart via Victoriassecret.com

So, this is Day Five! count down to birthday post. I got this gingham shirt from Dress barn a long time ago but only get to wear it whenever I'm expecting. This is because the shirt is two sizes up and a little loose. I couldn't find my right size at the store at the time but the shirt was on sale and I decided to go home with it. I thought the gingham prints looked so pretty then and it was the only gingham print I owned until I added this pair of gingham sandals I purchased from Victoria's secret.

I was having a bad hair day the day these pics were taken and actually had a lot of days like that over the summer. My natural hair right now is still at the initial stage of dreads and my wig is worn out already...:) I'm thinking of doing an "Unveiling" post on my birthday which comes up in a few days but I'm still trying to decide what to do exactly. Do I reveal my natural hair or reveal my face without any make-up? Talking of make-up, I do not really wear much of it and only just recently took it up a notch as a result of blogging. My make-up products/routine now includes foundation which I only use sparingly to cover up blemishes, lipstick, eyebrow pencils and eye-shadow and mascara sometimes.  It is great to pay attention to our outside appearance in order not to look shabby and untidy but like I always say; the greatest make-up or makeover ever is the building up of the "inner man." Our spirituality and personality matters more than anything else in this world. People would always get drawn to us when they know that we have an excellent or attractive spirit/personality and not really because we wear all the expensive labels that are out there.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your comments and thoughts on pictures or messages that you read. I enjoy meeting new bloggers and always return visits in the shortest time.
