Closet editing ladies? Well, it's closet editing on this end. I usually try to add one or two pieces of item to my closet every month and when doing this, I like to add trendy pieces; they do not have to be high end or expensive but they do have to look pretty. These are the items I am liking right now. Magic wand anyone?...:-).

Draped...

Happy Wednesday everyone; I hope you are all having a great week so far. I presently have my family members vacationing here in Minnesota so, I'm still in the holiday mode. It's always nice to have family around especially when you don't get to see all the time due to distance and busy schedule. I wore this draped blouse that I purchased from eshakti a while ago over this white denim pants today and finished the look off with my Nine West floral pumps. I fell in love with floral pumps when they came on the scene recently and you can see my previous post here. Floral pumps are very unique and they can be worn just about anywhere depending on their style or color. This navy-blue and white floral pumps can go to the office too with a very formal look.

As for this draped blouse, I just love the color but it's hard to tell if it is actually heather grey or blue in color. I just realized recently that I do not have a lot of blue pieces in closet aside from the regular denim so, I have been adding blue color items into my closet.

The Grand Finale

This weekend was so much fun; my siblings came over to Minnesota from out of state for the Fourth of July Celebrations and it was nice seeing my nephews and nieces again. After a series of barbecues including one at the lake side and the fireworks finale last night, I am pretty much exhausted. No, I did not wear this short suit to church today; I changed into this outfit when I got back from church. I decided to pair this distressed graphic tee I purchased from Forever 21 a couple of summers ago with the red shorts and as always, the jacket and shorts are separates (from different stores) but I purchased a grey pant suit and  a yellow short suit as a two piece recently it felt quite odd when I was making the purchase. I have always enjoyed putting together a suit by mixing and matching pieces from different stores. Check out my previous post here.

This BCBG Paris d'orsay pumps has been in my closet for a while and I just like the prints. They are currently on sale at DSW. Would you consider having a pant suit as part of your suit collection? They are very fun to wear especially in the summer time and they can be worn just about anywhere depending on the type of tank top or camisole worn underneath. I figured wearing this red suit was a nice way to end the great celebration of the Fourth of July weekend.

Just like the flag

Happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans; let the celebrations begin; it's going to be a fun weekend. I am off work tomorrow so my celebration started today. I got home from work today and changed into this casual outfit. I planned for this outfit to look just like the flag and to tell you the truth, If I had  gotten an actual flag wide enough to drape around me before I did this post, I would have gladly done it. This flag is such a great symbol of love and unity; a unique symbol of freedom.

As we celebrate the 4th of July, it is important for us  to pause and reflect on the greatest love and freedom of all; the love expressed by God when he gave us life through his son Jesus Christ. There is such a strong sense of peace when we accept God's salvation. No matter what problem or difficulty we might face, there is always that assurance and strength and faith that fills our heart when we believe in God.

Denim + Zebra Prints

Hi friends; happy July to you all; I pray that this new month brings everyone that stops by here loads of blessings. If you are reading this right now, I say"thank-you" for stopping by. It's been a mix of sun and rain in my neck of the woods and we are doing all we can to enjoy both. It was nice and sunny last weekend and I went to a friend's graduation party in this casual outfit. Although, I love my heels; I have started giving my beloved feet breaks by wearing flats. Also, it is summer; so flats are just necessary sometimes. This white pair has been in my shoe closet for a while and for some reason, I just feel like I have a sudden love for my white shoes.

Denim: Victoriassecret
Necklace: J. Crew
Pants: Loft
Sandals: DSW

I am also loving printed pants a lot this summer and I just think they are fun. This zebra print wide legged pants from Loft are so comfortable that they sold out pretty quickly. I am thinking I am going to recreate them by using a tribal/african inspired fabric I purchased from the store a few days ago. I'll let you know how that goes. Thank-you once again for stopping by here and I wish you a blessed new month.
