Search Over...
Yeah, the search is finally over; I got my low heeled Leopard print pumps for the season. After shopping around, I found this pair at my local J. Crew store. It was on clearance and so last season compared to the recent calf skin pumps which retails for about $300. This pair is patent with wooden heels and I love that it is not totally flat soled and also not too high. At 3 inches high, it is definitely what I need this fall and winter with the delivery of the baby approaching very fast as each day goes by. I love Animal Prints and do not think I can ever have too much of it in my closet. Plus, it is one of the few trends I am willing to embrace this season.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

The Chill is here...
| Black Tee: Victoriassecret Blazer: Old Skirt and Wedges: Victoriassecret |
We had the first snow flurries for the season on Saturday. It was a snow/rain mix in the twin cities and though there was no accumulation save for some areas up north, the system ushered in the chilly weather. I spent some parts of the weekend rearranging my closet just to make sure my jackets and gloves were within reach. However, I am not ready to go into the full fall wardrobe yet. We do have very long winters in Minnesota and most people including myself try as much as they can not to embrace the Fall or Winter weather whole heartily. We put up a fight until it becomes absolutely difficult to ignore the freeze. This was the outfit I wore on Saturday to lounge in the house. Some friends came over to visit and we all hung out for a while hubby did some work in the garage. You can still see traces of grease on the ground.
I hope you all are having a great week so far. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all the sweet comments.

Black and White-Five: Casual Look
| White top and pants: T. J. Maxx Bag: Random Purchase Gingham heels: Colin Stuart via Victoriassecret |
I wore a lot of black outfits this past summer and this was one of my casual looks earlier in the season. It was a very simple look and the gingham heels and yellow bag was added to add some interest. The blouse which I picked up from T. J. Maxx years ago has some embroidery at the neckline which gives it a bohemian look. I paired it with my old black ankle pants.
Laying in bed presently watching episodes of my favorite show on TLC "Four Houses." It's a twist on the TLC show "Four Weddings" that showcases four contestants and their houses and at the end of the show, the contestant that has the house with the most originality and livability/design wins. I love interior decoration and I'm always curious to see how people showcase their creativity in their homes.
Right now, I can hear loud gospel music drifting from downstairs; Fred Hammond to be precise. My hubby loves Fred Hammond's gospel music a lot. I can tell everyone in the house is awake now. I got to go fix the family some breakfast. I'm thinking of some pancakes and scrambled eggs or probably some bean balls; a local dish from Nigeria made from beans flour and some hot oatmeal. See you later and thanks a lot for visiting.
PS: In all things in life, always give God thanks for everything. An attitude of gratitude is the best therapy for handling life's problems.

Animal Prints for Fall Work-Outfits
Animal Prints Skirts are on my wish list for fall. Paired with a blazer and colorful scarf, it's a stylish outfit for work for those fall chilly days.
Another way to add the Animal Print trend to the fall wardrobe is with the use of accessories like shoes and scarves. A very subtle nod to the print trend for fall. I'm not a trend follower but have always loved Animal Prints and I believe it is here to stay all through the seasons.
Thanks so much for stopping by and do have a fabulous day and always remember that God loves everyone including "you" no matter what.

Who wore it better?
So, I have had this animal print blouse with balloon sleeves in my closet for a while now and the reason I bought the blouse is because it was on sale at Newportnews and also the fabric is 100% silk. The blouse was catalogued as a dress online but when I checked out the length, I knew there was no way I was going to wear such a short dress. I have paired capris and shorts with it in the past and have always kept the look neutral but recently, I decided to make the outfit more interesting by adding a little bit of color to it. I paired it with a lighter color of capris and wore a pair of red shoes instead of the bronze, gold and beige shoes I have used in the past. I think I like the new look better. What do you think?
Now, who do you think wore it better?...:) Thanks so much for stopping by and see you again soon.
