How to style lilac for Work

The Lilac color is everywhere; you can't help not noticing the color trend. This is a quick post on how to style the trend for work. I purchased this pencil skirt from JCrew a few years back from the No. 2 Pencil skirt collection in double serge cotton. The skirt has a great fit and is very comfy. I paired it with a neck-bow-tie blouse from Loft and accessorized with this straw bag that I have been carrying all spring and nude pumps. The tip to styling lilac for work especially in a corporate work environment is to get one piece in the color; maybe a bottom piece like pants, culottes, or skirt or in a top like a blazer or a blouse. You can also do accessories like a pair of lilac shoes or a bag.
If you do a head-to-toe lilac look, like a lilac suit or dress, it might appear too festive for work unless you work in a very casual or informal work setting so, reserve that pairing for the weekend. Thanks a lot for visiting.

  1. I like this chic and simple lilac skirt for work. And that's a fun spring bag, too.
