Wearing a Summer dress in the Fall

So, my opinion is that, if you have a favorite dress or outfit, you should be able to wear it at any time of the year if you choose to but you have to tweak it here and there. Granted, Fashion can be restrictive to seasons especially if you live in the United States and some other parts of the world where you have clearly defined seasons. Therefore, it would be odd to wear summer shorts in the Fall or winter. Having said that, there are some pieces that can clearly work for all or most of the seasons and one of such is this my floral pink/lilac dress. It is one of my favorite dresses and I wear it a lot during the summer season and I have blogged about it before here. What I did to wear this dress again in the Fall was to change the accessories. In the summer, I paired it with summer accessories and this Fall, I paired it with Fall accessories; a skinny purple belt to complement the purple floral pattern on the dress and to cinch the waist, dark green velvet pumps which unfortunately is not obvious from the pics. Velvet is a big trend this Fall as it has been all year and it is a trend you can do with clothing as well as accessories. What piece would you transition from Summer into Fall? Thanks so much for stopping by here.
