Spring is in the air, spring is here, spring is fun!!! There are so many spring sales going on right now and I just wanted to share with you some of the items I am loving this spring from one of my favorite stores; Loft. I do not own some of these items in my closet right now like the window pane pants although it has been trending for years now...:-). Yes, I always get into trends late sometimes. I like to wait it out to see if it is a trend that will stand the test of time. There is no need investing money in pieces to wear right now that you would be ashamed to wear months later because it is out of style or not trending anymore.

These trends above; the floral sweatshirt, window pane pants, stripe dresses and distressed jeans have somehow lasted more than I thought they would. So, check them out when you get the time and while the sale lasts at Loft.

Borrowed from the Hubs and Military.

It's been raining on and off in the twin cities since yesterday and it's been so cloudy and windy too.  I'm so glad that I did not have to go to work today. I sent the older kids to school and was left with my four year old daughter and the baby. I had some errands to do at the post office and although it was a cloudy and gloomy day, I felt like I wanted to dress up in a cheerful outfit. I have been wanting to wear my camo prints pumps for a while now. I got them last fall and it got cold quickly and I had to switch to boots for the cold weather. I decided it was time to get them out today and since the military inspired look is on trend it felt good to step out of the house. When you are stuck with mommy duties all the time, it always feels great to dress up and be stylish once in a while...:-).

The white shirt is from my hubby. He ordered this PD&C shirt a few months ago and it was a tad small when he got it and he wanted to send it back in exchange for a larger size but I claimed it right away and he just had to order a new one...:-). Yes! I'm totally the bossy lady sometimes when I can get away with it...lol.

Bucket Bag: Ann Taylor here
Pumps: Too Lips on sale here
Jacket: thrifted

The long green blazer has been in my closet forever and I hardly wear it but I realized today that it is a perfect match for my camo prints pumps. Like I said in my earlier post; it's time for me to start wearing my jackets and blazers. I have so many of them; got some great ones through thrifting over the years and after some dry-cleaning, they come out as good as new. I just love blazers. I would pay the original price too if I find a great one that I love at the store.

I hope you all are doing great. There is so much going on in our world right now that sometimes I just wonder where the world is going to heading; so much negativity and bad news out there. I have started to study the bible more. It helps me block out all the negativity around and gives me courage and strength to face each day. How do you get over a gloomy day or stay positive?

James 1:19-25

19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

One More time...

Hi everyone, it's been a roller coaster kind of weather here in the twin cities. We had a couple of 70 degree weather days the past week and we thought that summer was early. We had barbecues and worked in the yard and all of a sudden, the temperature plunged and it's cold again. Can you believe we even had snow today? Yeah, right at the end of April; one more time, the snow decided to dazzle us. We had some snow mixed with rain this morning and they were large chunks of snow too but the temperature was too warm for it to accumulate and it melted as soon as it touched the ground.

Okay, now that we are done with the weather forecast, let's talk about fashion; one of my favorite topics. Remember this skirt I wore here during the winter? I decided to wear it one more time by styling it in a very different way today. This knit skirt is very versatile as it can be styled for any occasion; now it's work wear while my last styling was for a casual event. This teal color blazer has been in the closet for a while now and I felt it would pair nicely with the charcoal grey skirt.

Blazer: thrifted
Scarf: Target
White tee: LOFT
Knit skirt: Victorias Secret
Pumps: VS Shoes
Bag: Random boutique

I like to wear blazers a lot during the spring and fall seasons so now, I'm going to roll out my blazer wardrobe on the blog for the next couple of months; be warned...:-). Another accessory that I like for spring "are" scarfs and this animal prints one has been in some sort of heavy rotation lately. Do not feel sorry for me that I'm bare legged...:-). The weather is a little cold but warm enough for skirts without socks. Do you like this color combination?

Now, it's your turn to share. What's your favorite item of clothing or accessory for spring? 'jackets, sweaters, hats?
