Yellow, Purple...and Sparkle!
This is the outfit I wore to church last Sunday; a yellow layered tiered dress I got from Tjmaxx a long time ago. The color is so so bold and the dress so so layered that I felt like taking the drama all the way by layering on as much accessories as I could. I put on the most jewelry I had ever worn ever and my purple Mojo Moxy shoes with gold studs. A lot of drama all the way....
I don't own a lot of yellow color outfits but I must say that yellow outfits add very nice pop of color to any closet. The arms of the dress are a bit open so I am wearing a purple lace trimmed tank-top underneath which is not so obvious from this picture. Probably because I am in the shadows. Note to myself, I need to get a higher quality camera.
My gold color oversized clutch, necklace, bracelet and cocktail ring add some sparkle to this outfit besides there are also gold studs on my purple pumps.
As always, I had a very nice time in church last Sunday. My commitment to God is ever renewed. I know it's so hard sometimes to create time for fellowship with God amidst very busy and hectic schedule; taking care of three kids, a gorgeous husband, school, work and home but my faith is very important to me and I always make things work. I have the bible app on my iphone and whenver I get some time off from work or school, I read scriptures as opposed to browsing social media networks. If I have to blog or browse social networks, then I visit fellow bloggers who talk about their faith and have things to share that can build up my spirit. I also spend time in prayer whenever I am in my car on the long commute to and from work or school. I always pray with my eyes open off course!...:)
Have a nice weekend everyone and do not fail to spend time with God and family this weekend. See you soon. **Kisses**

They are structured cap-sleeve dresses and they come in various yummy beautiful colors with a slim belt to cinch the waist. "The Jackie 'O by black halo dresses! They need no introduction.
These cool beautiful dresses retail for over $300 and have been on the scene for a while now. They even come in patterns too but I like the solid colors best. I also love the length of the dress because it is so modest and was specially thrilled to notice that TV. personalities that have been spotted wearing the dress actually felt comfortable with the length.
I really would have loved to get myself one in a beautiful deep rich color but the only snag is that the top part of the dress is so revealing especially under the arms. It makes me wonder where I can actually wear the dress. I can not wear it to church, never to work but maybe to dinner with hubby?...:) It would be a "No-No" to have a shawl or a scarf over the shoulders because that is actually where the beauty of the dress lies; the slightly flared neckline.
I'll see how long this dress is going to be on the scene while I try to figure out places I can wear it to without appearing "inappropriately dressed." Do you like this dress?

Style-New
This post is about the newest addition to my shoe collection. "Two cute pairs of leopard prints shoes!" Animal prints has been everywhere in fashion lately; clothes, bags and shoes and I just wonder if it is ever going to end. I have so much animal prints in my closet already and I think I'll make this my last purchase.
Ain't they cute?...:) A double dose of "Animalistic elegance!"...) whatever that means...**Smiling**
I talked about getting these beauties in a previous post here and now that they have arrived, I have to think of how I am going to style these beauties with an outfit. It should be pretty easy, right?
Although both shoes are in animal prints, I like the fact that they are still very different; Heels and wedges..**duh..smiling** I also like the mix of different color with the print; the black and neutral shades.
The most amazing thing happened when I got my shoes out of the package and lay them out on the floor. Immediately, something clinched in my mind. I remembered that I had a dress in a similar print. I rushed into my closet and when I was done, tearing the place up, I found my old leopard print dress. The good old dress I had not worn in a long time. It was beautiful to see how well the dress matched with the shoes. Now I have a triple dose of this particular prints..aaarrrgh!!! **in a good way**
Do you see the great similarity too?
Okay, it's a little off but still okay...:)

I am wishing you all a wonderful week (the rest of the week) and a wonderful weekend ahead. Remember, like I say all the time to always "Count your blessings." And remember too that prayers solve every problem. Whatever difficult situation you find yourself in, just take a minute to say a prayer to God. He definitely listens.

Green on Green on Green...
I hope you all are doing great today and always..I had a wonderful time last weekend. It was my friend's wedding and it was party time all through the weekend. I will be posting pictures from the wedding later on. This outfit is what I wore to church on Sunday after the wedding and after the wonderful service, we went to the barbecue that was organized by family and friends for the couple. I took these pictures when I got home later in the evening.

This my green on green ensemble really put a smile on my face the whole day. I never thought I would ever put so much color into one outfit but decided to take a risk..
I am wearing a green pleated sleeveless blouse with elaborate ruffles at the neckline that I purchased from Burlington Coat factory and a light green A-line Ann Taylor skirt from Loft
My silver over sized clutch from Victoriassecret.com
Ring and bracelets are from Burlington Coat factory
I have on my teal green Jessica Simpson heels which are one of the few pointed toe shoes I own. I really really do not feel comfortable in pointed toe heels. I think my toes are a little big and they are more comfortable in round-toe pumps.
The heels from my shoes really got messed up from walking on the grass in the park where the barbecue was held. I forgot to take some flat heeled shoes with me to change into at the park and ended up running around in my heels for the whole day. Yeah, my toes were really sore afterwards...**ouch!!** Two things I learned that day.
2. Always check your camera lens before you take pictures especially if you go to a barbecue or cookout where there are lots of finger foods. My camera lens was all soiled with grease from the chicken and snacks I ate and affected the clarity of most of the pictures I took that day. I realized at the last minute what happened and will take caution next time.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and do not forget or neglect to spend some time with God, family and friends this weekend. **Cheers.**

Black and Gingham...and some tan.
How are you my reader or readers doing? I hope you all are having an awesome week so far. Mine has been so nice. A lot of fun activities with family and friends. I attended a friend's wedding today but this outfit is what I wore out in the morning before the wedding. I based the title of this post on my shoes basically. My gingham shoes...
And yes, this is my first "pants" styling post. I woke up in the morning all excited and rejuvenated but as I got ready for class, I suddenly did not feel so good about the skirt and top I laid out a night before. So, a quick rummage in the closet and I came up with these..
The tan colors are from my tan frank sartos bag and the heels on my shoes..
Necklace is from Palm beach jewelry
See you soon. Remember God loves you dearly and always count your blessings all the time.

Just Stripes for August First
It's August First and I just can not believe how fast the year is coming to an end..I can still remember most of the events that happened on the first day of the year like it was yesterday. Anyway, how are you doing? You are welcome to my blog and thanks a lot for stopping by. I titled this post; "Just stripes for August first" because it is my first styling post on anything stripes!!..:) and today being the first day, of the month, I deemed it appropriate to also feature a "Styling first." (Tongue-twister?)
Usually, I do not like outfits with stripes and I only have just a couple of them in my closet. Stylists have a lot to say about it. Vertical stripes are slimming and horizontal stripes are fattening...As for me, all stripes are fattening, period!...:) They never work for me and I admire it on other people that are able to pull them off nicely. Now back to my outfit...
I purchased this dress a while ago from Metrostyle and it was the color of the stripes that really drew me in. I had known for a long time that stripes do not work for me but decided to give it another try. And besides, the pattern on this dress was more of streaks than stripes. I love purple and brown colors and the clash of purple, wine, brown and white in this dress was something I could not resist plus it was on sale too. It is currently marked down for $49.99. Check it out here. When the dress was delivered, I thought it was a little too large for me even though I had ordered it at my current size at that time. My initial thought was to return the dress but then I changed my mind. It hung in my closet for close to seven months before I decided to give it a try..
The belt came with the dress...
I like that the dress is flared out...it helps to hide all the curves...:)
I wore it to a casual outing so, I decided to use very simple accessories.
I used my old vintage brown bag which is of the same color as the belt..
And my Steve Madden sling back sandals...I decided to skip on jewelry (the weather was way too hot!) except for my single wooden bracelet which you have seen a lot on this blog...:)
It was my friend's wedding shower last weekend and since her colors were purple and silver, she asked her friends to come dressed for the shower in purple outfits. The wedding is this next weekend and I have a purple print dress picked out already. I will post pictures from the party if I am able to get some. I might be too busy to take pictures...:)These are two special things about me; I love weddings and I love purple! Have a wonderful week everyone. See you soon.
You can see a picture of the same dress on a Model below...

Another Shirt-dress...
I aaaammm backkkkk!!!...:) **smiling** Yes, this post is about another shirt dress. Don't I just love them!..:) I do not have words to express how much I love dresses in general. I am a real "girlie-girl" to the heart. I just suddenly realized that I have not done any styling outfit on pants yet. I do wear pants a lot...usually more in the winter time. But during the summer, I just like to put on skirts and dresses. You know, something about dressing for the right occasion, weather, place...etc...haha haha...** laughing.**
This tan color shirt dress is from Talbots. It is made from stretch cotton fabric and really really comfortable.
My color block hand bag is from Jessica Simpson and my shoes are from Newportnews. (Really old, like seven years ago..)
My belt, necklace and bangles are random or maybe from Target stores? I don't really remember...
It's nice how my shoes kind of match with the bag even though they are from different stores and were purchased at different times...:)
This is just a simple shirt dress but I think the accessories made it look a little edgy..
My scowling face....
My smiling face...
I hope you enjoyed this styling post..
See You soon. Have a great weekend everyone. Remember God loves you dearly!! **Kisses**
