Simple..

It's a very, very windy day in the twin cities today. The wind has been whistling through the trees all through the day. The sun has been out all day too and the weather is actually very beautiful. I decided to go very simple today for my look and though my style is basically simple and minimalistic already but I figured a simple long sleeve over pants is as simple as simple can be.

I decided to make the look a little interesting by picking an animal print long sleeve and just added accessories to the casual look. I do not like to wear sunnies a lot but sometimes the intensity of the sun gives me no choice. 'growing up, I thought sun glasses are only worn by grownups who want to look cool and a little edgy but I realized years ago, that it is a necessary accessory like shoes most of the time. We protect our feet by wearing shoes and we need to protect our eyes from the sun rays too. Anyways, theses sunnies are not mine; I just grabbed them from hubby's glove compartment. He has quite a stash.

Animal prints top and pants: LOFT

                                                           Shoes: Louboutins

I hope everyone is doing great. I'm sending loving thoughts your way all through the new week. I'll be back again soon for another post.

Knit and Jean..

This is what I wore today to run errands around and if you think I look like I just rolled out from a time capsule; you are very right. I just brought the sixties and seventies back with this look. The pictures also give a mid century vibe...hehehe. My son took the pictures with an iPhone and I had no time and no intention to run the pictures through editing before uploading them so they are at their worst today. Also, the day was starting to get dark and we were in a hurry so we just pulled up in a parking lot and went snap-snap and continued on our way.

This knit top has been in my closet since I purchased it about three years ago from J. C. Penny and the denim's history probably dates back to the time of Adam..lol. Well, the two of them decided to pair together today and I'm well layered underneath the top; thank-you!...:-). The weather is nice enough now for dressing up without the jackets but still  chilly enough to require some inner layering so, I was not going to step out in this knit top without proper under garments as I have seen some people do recently **eyes rolling...lol.**

Well, this was just a quick post today, No time for telling long stories like I usually do. And thank God this is a blog post and not a video post or youtube post because I have totally lost my voice though I'm fully recovered from the cold I had a few days ago. See you again very soon either on your blogs or here.

Grey Sequins..

Hi Friends; I hope everyone is doing great. I'm here for a quick post. This is my Easter dress that I featured in my Giveaway post courtesy of eshakti. The weather was not that great on Easter; it was cold and cloudy and it has been so for the past few days. I was going to hold on till the weather warms up to wear this dress again and do a post on it but I have a discount code to share and I thought it was best to do the post this week.

So, do you remember this mojo moxy pumps I purchased not too long ago and blogged about here? I thought it would add a nice pop of color to the dress. This dress was originally a sleeveless scoop neck dress when I saw it on the site but I customized it and added sleeves and changed the neckline from a "scoop" to a "round." Most of eshakti clothes come with pockets and you have the option to order them without pockets too. They also have larger sizes and give you the option of choosing your desired length. All this customizations can be done free of charge on your first order and for a small fee for subsequent orders.

Fiery Orange...

Hi Friends, thanks a lot for your well wishes on my last post and "yes" I do feel better and "no" I'm not wearing red colors again in this post. This is actually fiery orange and tan combination. I purchased this sweater from J. Crew factory last fall and have been looking for the right occasion to wear it since then.  It is similar to the sweater I wore on Valentine's day here. Also, I have had this Gap cord pants for a while now and I was very excited when I realized that I could pair it with the sweater. Well, today is Good Friday and I knew that this  graphic sweater with the love sign embellished on it would be the perfect top for today. I accessorized the outfit with my Ann Taylor mini bucket bag and animal prints flats; very simple outfit.

If you are familiar with my blog posts, you will know by now that I do not really like to wear flats but there are occasions that really call for it like today. We watched a family movie together this morning titled "God is not dead" then we lazed around the whole day and later took the kids out in the evening for a dinner date with lots of games. I posted some pictures on my INSTAGRAM here. I had to put on this light trench coat too because it was a little chilly today.

Yeah, I do look tired in the picture here but I know I just need more rest so I can get my strength back. The cold I had for the last couple of days really hit me hard but I'm grateful to be alive and I count my blessings. Some people are struggling with worse conditions. Also, it is good to know that Good Friday is a day we can all reflect on the great gift of salvation God gave to us all by sending his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. God's love is real guys. I'll be with you again very soon.

Throwback Thursday- Red is my color

Blog Post here

It is throwback thursday and I just decided to do a little reflection on the blog. Looking into my closet lately, I found out that I have a lot of red clothing items and even much more than I have showcased on the blog. I have also had a lot of people tell me that"I wear red a lot" and some say that"red looks good on me." Either way, this is a look at some of my previous red color posts.

I hope you are all doing great? I am actually lying in bed with a cold right now. I have been sneezing all day and have loads and rolls of tissue around me **eeewwww**...:-). Sorry, I'm not going to pass the cold to you...hehehe. There is nothing like looking pretty at this end right now...:-). Tomorrow is Good Friday guys and cold or not, I am going to get out of bed and get all dressed up. Thankfully, I am not going to work tomorrow and I did not go today too. The kids are home on Spring break too so, that's good. I'm looking forward to a happy and cold free Easter.
