Still in the spirit of "Independence," I will share with you what I wore to school this morning. Yeah, I take classes on Saturdays and my summer is not all fun because I have to spend part of my time studying but it's all good!**smiles**
Now back to my outfit, what I wore today is what I originally planned to wear on independence day; July 4th before I switched it to the white dress. I did some styling modification and changed my blouse and shoes from red to wine. Do you know now why I said the outfit was going to be "cheesy?" Can you imagine this outfit as blue, white (necklace) and red instead of the blue, white and wine I wore here? Maybe it would not have been so cheesy after all...I'll save it for next year...:)"Yea!!!" to being patriotic!
Wine blouse and computer tote from TJ Maxx stores..
My bracelet is from Target Stores
My skirt is custom made; I got the fabric from the fabric store and my seamstress made it.
I usually like my skirts flared but would wear pencil skirts once in a while...
Earrings and Necklace were thrifted...
I wore this skirt in a previous post.
My wine color front-knot Guess heels are really old. I purchased them from Designer Shoe Wearhouse DSW a long time ago.
I hope you all are having a nice time and thanks for visiting my blog. Like I would always say, "I'll like to share my faith with you." Have a wonderful weekend and take a minute to give God praise for his goodness. We should always count every blessings...:)

Happy 4th...
Sneak Peek...
Peek! Peek!! Peek a booooo!!!
`
I am wearing an off-white sheath dress that I have had for a long time with a multicolor belt I got from the thrift store. The plan for today was for my family to go to the lake with another family friend of ours and their kids. We had planned to have a nice picnic with lots of food and also play some games but at the last minute plans were changed due to the execessive heat.
We had to move the party indoors because of 99 degrees temperature and the steamy and humid weather. It was nice to really chill indoors in an air conditioned enviroment. We did music rehearsal for church, listened to some music, ate and just had some fun. I left my friends to quickly take some pics outdoors.
I do not know what happened to this pic but I kind of liked the close-up.
My bracelet and rings were purchased at Burlington Coat Factory and my nude clutch and Steve Madden Pumps were purchased at TJ Maxx.
Like I said; before picking this dress, I debated on wearing a red sheath dress, a blue wrap dress and my cheesy outfit which was a blouse and skirt combo..but this dress worn the competition...:) and I am sure it is because "white" is the color of the season..
My sunglasses are from Target Stores
Now back to "Freedom," Isn't it nice to be free? Just as I will always share my faith with you on my blog, I want you to know that: the freedom from God through his son Jesus Christ is the greatest freedom of all. And the grace that we received through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the sweetest thing ever. We are free! Yes, we are free indeed!! Christians rock!!!

Yellow Floral...
Hi Readers, I hope you all are having an amazing week so far. This is what I wore to church last Sunday. Blazers are out of my alley for now because summer is officially here and there is this heat wave that is currently spreading through the US. I just had to rearrange my closet and all my sheer blouses and skirts are front and center right now peeking at me each time I walk into my closet. This floral sheer blouse with a straight black skirt was the winning outfit of the day..**smiles**
The light weight fabric of the blouse and skirt is very hot-weather appropriate
I'm not really into make-up so, it was really nice to go very light due to the very hot weather..
Minimal accessories: A brown clutch, a gold toned chunky bracelet and an orange color ring to accentuate the yellow and orange floral piece on my pumps which is why I titled this post; "Yellow Floral."
A very simple look I think...
I really like the neck-line of this blouse..
My floral sheer blouse and skirt were purchased a long time ago and I do not really remember what store I got them from but I think it might be TJ Maxx because most of my blouses were purchased there. I bought my yellow pumps from a bridal shop in my neighborhood which has since moved to a different location. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying the new week and month so far. It's July 4th tomorrow and I have this "cheesy" flag inspired outfit I planned to wear for the day...:)
See you soon. However, I will not say goodbye without sharing a bit of my faith with you. "I love you all my readers but God loves you most!!" **Kissess**

Shoes! Shoes!! and more...Prints!!!
As we all know, shoes complete every outfit and they have been coming in very fabulous designs and heel length lately. One of the latest trend is the print. It could be leopard print or zebra print; whatever print they might be, they can be real cute when styled nicely with any gorgeous outfit. Here are a few of some gorgeous pairs I really like.
I already own a neat collection of shoes which also include some prints in slingbacks and sandals. So, I think I am more interested in the Victoriassecret supermodel print pumps. They look super cool and the contrast color gives it a bit of an edge. Aside from having good quality, Victoriassecret shoes are very affordable, trendy and comfortable. There are various other designs out there that are great too but a lot of them are above budget right now and most of them are pointed and I really do not feel comfortable in pointed toe heels! They are super uncomfortable for me. I will have my platform pumps any day because they are super comfy...:)
Below are pictures of my messy closet with my shoe collection taken months back and it has certainly grown since then. I will put up more pictures when everything is arranged and more organized. Happy Shoe shopping but let's always remember ladies that there is more to this life other than shoes. Jesus is the answer to every life's problem.

July, Jewelry and giving...
It is first of July and I am so excited!! The first six months of the year has already rolled by and God has been faithful to us. I believe the next six months are going to be even more awesome!..:) More so, I have been having a nice and relaxing time with my blog which is my creative board where I have been letting out my thoughts in pictures and texts the last couple of months.
If you are a reader that has gone through some of my styling posts you would have noticed by now that I need some help in the accessorizing dept...:) and maybe in hair styling and make-up too...:) ha! ha!! My make-over or color story which is the purpose for which this blog was set up, continues....
Jewelry is something I have not really been into when it comes to fashion. I like shoes a lot and barely have enough room to store all the new pairs I keep getting and my closet racks are boursting with all my clothes but jewelry?....hmmm**cough** Well, this is how far I have gone with my jewelry make-over..
This beautiful set here is a gift I got from my friend and co-worker a couple of months ago which I mentioned in a styling post I did a while back. She is an Avon Associate and usually tells me about good deals and discounts whenever they are available but I was so surprised when I came to work and she handed me an Avon pouch containg four sets of fashion jewelry and I was really touched.
I really love this set and I am looking forward to using it on a pretty little black dress...You see, I got it months ago and haven't even used it yet...:) I'll get to it...
This is the second set of jewelry that was in my cute little gift package. These blue fashion silver toned set is just beautiful and very suitable for me because It's not so bold. I like minimal jewelry most times but would sometimes do "the statement piece" when there is need to...:)
How cute!!
This pink studs and gold toned studs are also gifts from my friend Felma and I really appreciate the gesture she made by giving me these awesome pieces to stimulate my jewelry senses...:)
These sets are the last but not the least in the gift package and they are a beautiful pair too.
Previously, I never had a jewelry box but used to purchase fashion jewelry on "as needed basis." I buy them when I have an event coming up, use them and discard them wherever only to search endlessly for them later when I need them for another occassion...:)
Well, now, I have this red velvet jewelry box which can barely take all the pieces I have been getting this past months..**smile** I have found out that the thrift store or consignment store is a good place to stock up on nice pieces which are vintage and timeless and I believe jewelry do not have to be solid gold or diamond all the time to be beautiful. There are so many gold toned jewelry and silver toned jewelry that are very beautiful and classy pieces and can be worn anywhere. You do not have to spend a thousand bucks to look like a million bucks!! Your fashion style is an expression of who you are and not how much you are wearing.
This is one of the old pieces I recovered from turning the house upside down...:) I bought this piece from the Victoriassecret catalogue about ten years back.

The White Jacket
This is what I wore to church today..My white jacket I purchased from Banana Republic a while back. I was supposed to do this post based on my floral theme for the month of June but somehow, I woke up today with something else in mind. I guess most women are like that when it comes to dressing up. You might have something planned for an event and at the last minute you just want to put on something different. I wore this white jacket over a black dress and threw on some wine color accessories and I was ready to go to God's house for an awesome time of praise, worship and communion.

It was a very sunny, hot and humid weather here in the twin cities today but it was a little windy so the weather wasn't all that bad. I always love to wear jacket though no matter how hot it gets and besides there is always air-condition right?..:) And again, I try to put on something very modest and nice underneath my jacket in case I need to take it off when it gets too hot.
I really do love this white jacket and I wish I could wear it all the time but the major snag is that I have to send it to be dry cleaned each time I wear it. The other color jacket I love besides this is my black jacket or my black jackets...I do have more than one!...:) The black jacket is very versatile and can be used to dress up any outfit and I think all women should own one.
My jewelry is a set of silver toned necklace and earrings with wine color crystals that I purchased from a friend a couple of years ago when she was doing the jewelry sales business.
My wine color clutch is a random purchase (do not remember where exactly) and my wine color pumps are from Victoriassecret catalogue.
Sun glasses are from Target stores
My ring which is a little off color because it is dark red was purchased at Burlington coat factory.
I am still reflecting on the sermon that was preached in church today. It was a wonderful communion.
My black dress is from Burlington coat factory.
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend so far and would devote a bit of your time to commune with God for all the wonderful gifts he has bestowed on you!...:)
This outfit post was not floral inspired but I think I am going to continue with my floral theme on and off through out the entire summer. I have realized that I have so many florals in my closet...oh! Another closet make-over?...:) Have a good week everyone and see you in my next styling post. And please do not hesitate to leave comments on my postings.
