What's New at Eshakti

Hi friends, I am excited to tell you about the new changes over at Eshakti. I have done a couple of collaborations with this company in the past and each time they launch new designs or features on their site, I always like to blog about it. Fall is around the corner and if you are looking to build a fall wardrobe or add some key pieces to it, just head over to their site. The selections here are some of my favorites for summer (what is left of the summer) and fall and this sleeves wool coatdress below is my absolute favorite. Let's not forget too that Eshakti allows you to customize your clothes by making changes to the length, alteration of the sleeves and addition or removal of side pockets.

Shoes Gist....Animalistic Instinct.

Hi Friends, it's time again for some shoe gist in this corner. This time, it is all about fur **Grrrrr** (growling...:-)). I hope there are no anti-fur movement members reading this blog post right now and if you are one, I apologize upfront. You see, I love animals too but I do eat them and would wear a real fur coat if gifted with one because I cannot afford to make a splurge on one right now; with that being said; **clears throat...** I beg to continue..

These animal print pumps Dee Keller pumps are recent additions to my shoe closet. I got to know of this shoe designer when I first set my eyes on this black and white print pumps; but they were out of my size and I kept stalking the site for months. When I realized my size was never going to be restocked, I decided to get the brown color instead and later added the zebra prints when they had their summer sale. Now, I just have to figure out how to style these beauties or figure out what outfits would work with them because as you can see, these prints are different from the usual leopard prints.

                                                                       Here

Do you have styling ideas for these kind of prints? I know they'll look good against solid colors or monochrome looks like cream on cream or white on white. If you have any ideas, please share; and thanks a lot for stopping by here. There is so much sadness and bad news in almost every news media these days and all around the world and this is my own little space for creating my escape by talking about things that put a smile on my face. I love you for stopping by here.

Summer Date Outfit

I wore this outfit here sometime in the summer and it is as extreme as an outfit can be even for summer. So, I ordered a bunch of shorts from Loft during their summer sale a couple of months ago and this particular one captivated my attention because of the prints and I read the description of the shorts like I always do but somehow skipped the reviews. I am very sure that if I had been patient enough to read the reviews, I would have found out that the shorts are shorter than was advertised on the site. I was shocked when I opened the package and realized that the shorts are indeed super short. No wonder some people hate online shopping so much. I have always had good experience shopping online though because I always shop from stores that I am familiar with in regards to the sizing and quality of their products. As for this shorts, I  contemplated whether to return them or not then found out that it was a final clearance sale and returns were not allowed so I decided to keep them for date night with the hubs. Also I can use them as beach shorts with a wrap around my waist and can also strut around my house in them; so, it is a keeper after all.

Shorts: Loft
Blazer: Ann Taylor
tee: H&M (old)
Necklace: JCrew Factory
Sandals: Heels.com

Have you ever had a bad experience shopping online? I am an avid online shopper because I usually do not have much time to spend in stores; as a mother of four, I usually have to use my time wisely although I do have some "me" time at the mall sometimes where I just walk and do window shopping mostly. It can be relaxing to spend time at the mall especially when you love shopping and people watching but it's also advisable to leave the wallets at home when you want to go window shopping. Have you had any ugly experience shopping online? Do share...

Okay Graphics and Color block Sandals

Hello, I'm back...I want to say  thank-you to everyone who showed support and participated in my blog Giveaway. The winner of the J Crew bracelet is Maria Flicka of Health & Beauty. It's a small gift to say thank-you and I hope she enjoys the gift.
It's been a little chilly in the twin cities the last two days so I fished out one of my blazers from the closet. I got this on sale from Loft last summer and it is actually slightly oversized. I paired it with a graphic tee from Forever21 and a distressed-patch-patch jeans from Loft.

This color-block sandals are from Liliana and it is a recent addition to my shoe closet and another affirmation to my campaign that shoes do not have to be expensive to be pretty. I know there is a "hater-group" of ladies out there on the internet who make fun of other ladies when they are not wearing designer shoes so if any of them happens to drop by on my site and read this post; this is to them...hehehe...lol.

Graphic tee: Forever 21
Jeans: (sold out) Loft blogged about here
Blazer: Loft
Pumps: Liliana
Purse: Jessica Simpson (old)

I say a prayer to all those who were victims of September 11 attacks fourteen years ago and I pray that God will continue to guide and comfort their family member and friends. I look forward to chatting with you again soon.

Florals in the Sunset

Hi Friends, I hope you had a beautiful labor day celebration. I enjoyed mine a great deal; spent time with the family and it was a blast. This is what I wore to church on sunday and if you have been following the blog you will know about my recent love for Chicwish. I do not know how long the online store has been around but it is definitely the in-thing right now. You might have seen this floral dress on line a thousand times already and you might be tired of it already but it's undeniable that the print is very lovely. I could not take pictures in the morning before church and had to take some pics hurriedly in the evening on our way out to have dinner with my extended family members. I wore a similar dress in a different print here.

I am on a mini break from work to ensure that the kids transition nicely from the summer break to school and it's a yearly tradition for me actually. I like to take my vacations at the beginning of the school year and during the Christmas holidays just to make sure I spend time with the family.

Dress: Chicwish
Purse: Express
Belt: Macys
Pumps: (old) VS Shoes
Jewelry: Gifted by Mom

What did you do for labor day holiday and did you get to do any extra stuff or do some shopping that you'll like to share. There were tons of sales and discounts on line for the holiday and I did indulge a little...:-). Do not forget about the upcoming Giveaway on the blog because I have not forgotten about it...lol. Thanks so much lovelies for stopping by.
