Nine years ago today, I started this little blog of mine! It's so hard to believe that it's been nine years of writing and posting pictures on here. Blogging is a whole lot different now; not as fun as it used to be. Now, everything is different with numbers, numbers and monetization but I'm glad I'm still here and loving it.
I do wish we were back in those early days of blogging though when blogging was all about story telling and posting the schedule for the week and getting excited about the latest trend without any thought of how much money the post was going to generate. I am wearing one of my favorite colors to celebrate my blog anniversary. This purple trench coat is a thrifted piece and so is the blazer, belt and metallic clutch. I paired it with my black tulle skirt and purple metallic pumps; a mix of old and new. It makes for a fun closet if you ask me.
Shopping thrift and consignment stores, gets you unique pieces that you can't find somewhere else easily as opposed to shopping from popular retail stores and showing up at an event where two or three other ladies are wearing exactly the same pieces as you. And then those pieces go out of style a few months later and they are pushed to the back of the closet and off you go to the next trend. If there is anything I have learnt about blogging and my style these past years, it is; "Be You!" And that's, be me! I'm different, I'm unique and I'm thriving. Thanks so much for stopping by here! 😘
