The season to be sparkly and merry is around the corner and as we get ready for the holidays we should remember that it is all about giving. And giving does not mean just giving physical gifts alone; it also means donating money to charitable organizations like Red Cross and Salvation Army and volunteering at community centers or thrift/charity stores that give back to the community. I love to seek out the red kettles during the holiday season to donate some money and I also love to shop at thrift/charity stores. This colorful, beaded vintage clutch is one of my recent thrift fashion finds...
Clutch: Arc's Value Village // Earrings: JCrew
This clutch and earrings are the accessories for one of my holiday outfits and let's just say this is a sneak peek of my Christmas look. I went to a neighborhood thrift store recently and found this heavily beaded vintage clutch for less than $10 dollars. If you have been reading this blog for a while, you'll know by now that I go thrifting sometimes because I enjoy the thrill and usually, I find great items like vintage jewelry and clutches which I clean and reuse.
The thrift store I visited was Arc's Value Village which is just like a regular store; clean, spacious and well organized. The proceeds from sales go toward helping people with physical and intellectual disabilities and shoppers can make extra donations if they wish at check-out. At this time of the year as we shop for our loved ones, let's not forget the weak and less privileged amongst us. So, watch out for what I'm going to style with this clutch and the green JCrew earrings which I purchased from Jcrew last Christmas.
