Fall Florals and Happy December!

Happy new Month Friends! I pray that God's grace, blessings and love overwhelm everyone of you including me in this new month of December. The year is almost at an end; how amazing!! I'm always excited for the month of December and not just for the holidays and celebration alone but mostly for the fact that the holiday (Christmas) is a great reminder of the gift of salvation that God gave to everyone. Also, my youngest one; was born on Christmas day three years ago so, we have two celebrations in my home on Christmas day now; Christmas party and birthday celebration. Can you peep my daughter in the glass door taking my pictures? My kids are my photographers for this blog and they help to keep it running. I am so grateful to God for them. Right now, we take all my pics with cell phone cameras but maybe I'll entrust them with my DSLR camera in the new year.

In this post, I am wearing a floral blouse I purchased from LOFT during their recent sale. The prints is just so beautiful and the colors definitely represent the Fall season. The blouse sold out so fast but it was restocked only in a dress version/style and you can buy it HERE. The palazzo or sailor  pants are also from Loft and the story behind them is quite interesting. I saw it online when it was first released and it looked so beautiful and stylish but I was very disappointed at the reviews. Most of the people who purchased a pair said they either returned it or were planning to because of the quality and fit. The pants immediately went on sale and as someone who likes a good deal, I went ahead and purchased a pair with the hopes of sending it for alteration if it fit badly. The extra money saved on the sale can always go to alteration I thought.

Well, the pants sat in the closet for weeks and I never sent it for alteration and here I am, wearing it as baggy as it is! Haha!!...Lol. I topped it with a pair of platform heels I had not worn in a while too and I can understand now why platform heels are not trending anymore...Lol. It might be my opinion, but I think the pointed toe pumps are very chic and add more class to an outfit. So, these platform heels would go back in the shoe closet again. Maybe, platforms would recycle back to Fashion again soon.

I must say now that I have brought out my old singer sewing machine from the storage. I bought it over five years ago and thought I would go for sewing classes but that never happened. One of my plans for the new year is to register for sewing classes and put my sewing machine to use. I'm sure I'll have this pants fitted very soon and I'll do another styling post on it. What are your plans for the new year? Are you planning on learning any new thing or hobby? Some sewing, baking or knitting classes would not hurt...

  4. Such a great outfit, Beauty:) Love the floral LOFT top, and those pants rock even without the alteration! And as a sewer and knitter, I think you should totally do the lessons!

  5. I love the pants on You and they are just right with your floral top. I am also planning on dusting off my sewing machine too. I have not sewed for about 8 years because fabric was so costly, but I am ready to get back in the game. Happy December my dear.
