White House/Black Market Skirt

Happy Wednesday; I hope your day is shiny and bright as it is over here in my neck of the woods. I made a note to myself to feature more work outfits on the blog and I am keeping to my promise. Like I say all the time, fashion blogging to me is a hobby and I'm just trying to have fun here on the blog so I do not claim to be a professional stylist...:-).

I am wearing here an old skirt from Whit House/Black Market that I purchased a couple of years ago. This store (White House/Black Market) always fascinates me because I think the name is so cute and unique and I always ensure I visit the store whenever I am in a mall that has one. However, their items are a little steep in price and most often than not, I just "windowshop" in there. This skirt is one of the few items I have purchased from the store and I do not remember how much I paid for it but the quality and design is great. I love the embellished leaf design on the hem; very "Fallfashion"...:-).

I paired it with a black utility blouse I purchased from Loft and this pair of heels with spikes; the spiked heels are definitely not appropriate for work though. I saw a lady put on a pair of spiked flats a few days ago and that is why I dug into my closet and got mine out. So, maybe spikes are making a "Comeback?"

Blouse: Loft
Skirt: White House/Black Market (old)
Heels: Sam & Libby: Target
Bag: Aldo

  10. I think the appropriateness of spikes depends on what else you're wearing. I'm certainly into the trend!

  11. Dear Beauty, congratulations for your 500 pics! No reason to laugh but to applaud <3 You are so right, the name of this shop is really unique and I love the skirt you bought there. You found with the blouse a perfect pairing and yes, who know: maybe spikes have really a comeback? In each case I like your spiked shoes. Have a happy and blssed weekend.
