Borrowed from the Hubs and Military.

It's been raining on and off in the twin cities since yesterday and it's been so cloudy and windy too.  I'm so glad that I did not have to go to work today. I sent the older kids to school and was left with my four year old daughter and the baby. I had some errands to do at the post office and although it was a cloudy and gloomy day, I felt like I wanted to dress up in a cheerful outfit. I have been wanting to wear my camo prints pumps for a while now. I got them last fall and it got cold quickly and I had to switch to boots for the cold weather. I decided it was time to get them out today and since the military inspired look is on trend it felt good to step out of the house. When you are stuck with mommy duties all the time, it always feels great to dress up and be stylish once in a while...:-).

The white shirt is from my hubby. He ordered this PD&C shirt a few months ago and it was a tad small when he got it and he wanted to send it back in exchange for a larger size but I claimed it right away and he just had to order a new one...:-). Yes! I'm totally the bossy lady sometimes when I can get away with it...lol.

The long green blazer has been in my closet forever and I hardly wear it but I realized today that it is a perfect match for my camo prints pumps. Like I said in my earlier post; it's time for me to start wearing my jackets and blazers. I have so many of them; got some great ones through thrifting over the years and after some dry-cleaning, they come out as good as new. I just love blazers. I would pay the original price too if I find a great one that I love at the store.

I hope you all are doing great. There is so much going on in our world right now that sometimes I just wonder where the world is going to heading; so much negativity and bad news out there. I have started to study the bible more. It helps me block out all the negativity around and gives me courage and strength to face each day. How do you get over a gloomy day or stay positive?

James 1:19-25

19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

  5. White shirt, great fitting jeans and killer shoes yes ma'am those are the keys to a great outfit every time. Camo print is so versatile. I have a camo shirt that I was wearing every other day at one point. I also prefer men's button down shirts. I think they are just made better. I hope after your errands you were able to do something fun with your daughter and the baby.

I think of all of my many blessings when I start to feel gloomy. I have so very much to be thankful for. Take care.
